Burger King

I've never really thought to bring this up to anyone,  but my wife and I have had some looks and snickers over it.  So here goes.  Does anyone think that the Burger King character in their commercials is.. well... creepy in a.. well.... icky kind of way?

Remember the SNL cartoon with Ace and Gary and they wore tights and did weird things?  That's kind of what that creepy King reminds me of.  Whoever came up with that ad campaign had to have been on hallucinogens.

It sure as hell never made ME hungry.

I've thought that since the first time he appeared... I was like wtf?! I'M NEVER EATING THERE!!

And... I still haven't.

Re: Burger King

I can't say I've ever seen the Burger King as gay Stevie but it is kinda creepy...in a funny way.

They have a video game out where you play as the King and you have to stealthily creep up on unsuspecting folks to offer them food! It makes me laugh every time Laughing

That being said fast food is horrible for you and I never eat it

I love that guy. He reminds me of Val Kilmer as King Philip II in the movie Alexander.

Re: Burger King

I love the commercial where he comes home to his family and the son is mini version of him. Now that is creepy. Or where the King was sitting on people's beds. My first reaction would be to punch and ask questions later. I mean breaking and entering is a crime even if you have breakfast food with you.

I don't want to die without any scars.

That's one of the ones that got me.  The dude wakes up and there's this twit wearing a costume holding an eggmcmuffin sitting on the bed leering at him when he wakes up.  He looks like he has more than breakfast on his mind.  Maybe it's the look on his face.

Oh, the King is planning on feeding him something for breakfast alright. Sausage fest anyone?

Re: Burger King

The Spot: It's morning. Birds are chirping. A man wakes up in his bed … and discovers he's not alone! Next to him on the mattress there is some sort of royal personage: a king, clad in burgundy robes and a crown. But the king's head appears to be made of plastic and is perhaps three times too large for his body. He hands the stunned man a breakfast sandwich. They laugh together.

That is creepy, and NOT because it may or may not have a gay theme... just creepy that someone wakes up in your bed that you did not invite there.

Here is the article that excerpt is from which explains Burger King's ideas behind the campaign:    http://www.slate.com/id/2107697/
