Callous Clear image as seen on TV

I keep seeing the Callous Clear foot stuff advertised on TV and want to try it for the callouses on my feet. But before I order any I want to read a review so I know if it really works or is a scam or just another bad product like all the other scams on late night TV.
Has anybody tired Callous Clear and liked it? Does it really work? You can see it on the callousclear.com website.

Please post a review and let me know!

Getting rid of callouses on my feet

I have a professional drill for acrylic nails, which in the past I've used to sand calluses with a sandpaper band. This year, that has not been working at ALL. I would sand and sand, and in 24 hours, it would be back to what it was before. The dry skin was so horrible and ripped up that my feet were catching on all kinds of fabric -- even my sheets!! Some people have mentioned the PedEgg, but I bought this when it first came out, and took it right back. All it did was rip up my skin and create jagged skin where there was none. I can't imagine how that thing works for anybody.

The only thing that has helped me this month, when things got really bad, was lathering up my feet, and taking my Venus Embrace razor to shave off the dead skin until it was gone. This wet method was great, and I'll stick with it as long as I have this severe dryness problem.

Re: Getting rid of callouses on my feet
Hi All, We came across a product called Hydroheel. This product was chosen out of fifty different new products. It had amazing testimonials from both men and women who had tried it. We are getting our final marketing campaign ready for January. In the mean time you can find it on Hydroheel.com . This product is a thick healing ointment that is heat activated with plastic booties you wear on your feet. There is never any pain. It feels good because it's soothing the feet. It does not require shaving of scrapping. It heals the dry cracks with all natural avocado, grape seeds and peppermint oils. Please try it and let us know what you think. Thank You, the Hydroheel marketing team.

Callous Clear alternative
I use the Emjoi I bought from QVC. It's looks basically like a electric razor but has a very fast spinning head that's like the feel of sandpaper but it works for me. I had very bad callouses that would hurt. Be careful of the blades for removing them I went down to far and my feet hurt horribly for a week.

Does Callous Clear work?
I tried Callous Clear about a year ago after using several other foot and callous products. It did not work half as good as anything else and with shipping and fees ended up costing me a lot more.

Callous Clear made my feet peel!
During the summer I noticed my feet becoming more dry as I wore flip-flops and sandals. By the end of the summer my feet looked really dry and kind of gross. I bought Callous Clear assuming that the results would not be like the commericals and thinking that my feet would either get better or stay the same, but I had to try something. After the first use it worked somewhat, enough to keep me satisfied. I have not used Callous Clear since BUT now, 4 months later, my feet are starting to PEEL!! It doesn't hurt, more like new skin trying to come through but I've noticed that my feet are only peeling in the areas I applied the product. Has this happened to anyone else?

Callous Clear scam
I really wish I would have read some of the comments before purchasing this product. The advertisements is misleading to say the least. This product does not work. In my opinion it is a waste of money and I would love to get refund. But since that is not possible I will warn everyone I know not to purchase this product. As you asked "Yes Callous Clear is a SCAM".

Does Callous Clear work?
I just bought Callous Clear at the drug store today and used it. I agree with several people who say it "kind of" works. However, like others also stated; soaking feet in water and scraping off dead skin works EXACTLY the same as Callous Clear for FREE. I plan I trying the vinegar tip.

Re: Is Callous Clear a scam or does it work?
I bought this product to try it. I belief is a waste of money. Any person can obtain the same results if you place your feet in warm water to soft the skin, use any scrub or similar scrapper, and finally use a lotion. Probably you will spend less than 5 dollars instead of 7 to 10 dollars for this product.

Does Callous Clear work?
I had decent results with it, however i have minor callouses. One thing you should do before application is wash your feet really well, and soak them for a few minutes to soften the dead skin. Then dry and immediately use the Callous Clear. You have to press kind of hard, and really use the sharp edge of the tool to get the dead skin off. Though it wasn't quite like the commercial (with large visible sheets of dead skin coming off) the results were noticeable and I'm pleased.

Callouses
Doesn't work. Pumice just cleans the callous, scrapers leave them more rough than when I started, I soak my feet shave off the callous with a regular razor (over a few days time) nothing is done in a day! And apply A&D ointment every night to repair the cracks, which I have. For dry feet and work on the callous' I used a drywall sanding block to get rid of dry skin.

Re: Callouses
You didn't say how long you have been doing this but, I have seen the results of feet that went that route with a sander, and it's not pretty and damn near unfixable. I wouldn't want to see anyone else do that if they want soft and not even pretty but healthy looking feet as they age. The more you sand the dryer the skin becomes.

Re: Calloused feet

Buy a Microplane Colossal Pedicure Rasp. The skin on your feet is 20 times harder than normal skin. This thing works well. I recommend trying it in the bath vs out after you have gotten down to the sensitive skin. You can really overdo it with this so daily MINIMAL use is better then trying to do everything in one day. Minimal being like 5 to 10 seconds a foot. By the way this thing is as big as a foot. I broke my smaller one that I bought. They work better than a dry wall sander. It comes in pink too for the ladies Wink

does Callus Clear work?
Thanks to everyone who took time to let us know this product is a scam. The lady who does my facials tells me not to use metal on my feet. That would be the credo blade, pedi egg or thoses metal scrapers that look like cheese graters. She says that a pumis stone will correct my feet. This advice was recent so I have no results to report. I'm with the person who asks, "does anyone else think this is disturbing". 8 year olds should be riding bikes, not grooming feet. Sad

Re: does Callus Clear work?

I'm sorry, but tell her that she's never seen my feet..
I've used pumice on my feet and it does absolutely nothing other than leaving ground up pumice all over the floor.. The Pedegg (like a cheese grater) does wonders and getting that hard top layer off.

Re: does Callus Clear work?
The pumice stone does work if used regularly, like each time you shower or take a bath. Use it while the feet are wet, after they have soaked for a few minutes, 10-20. You should see some results. Thing is you must use it wet and daily to get rid of the dead skin.

Re: does Callus Clear work?
Thank you for commenting on my post Hubby. I should have added my facial lady claims that the metal is what makes our feet so tough. I thought it was age as I hadnt had this issue until about five yrs ago. She might be right. That was about the time I started going to an acrylic nail salon that uses metal. Hope this info helps us.

Re: does Callus Clear work?

Well.. again I will have to disagree with your facial lady, and I may even go so far as to say she is just plain wrong.

My feet were calloused, dry, and (very) hard, without ever being touched by any metal - so clearly, metal had no part in making them tough.

I then purchased a PedEgg (basically a cheese grater) and it did a pretty good job and carving off the thick, dry, calloused skin. Then with regular soaking, and THEN maintenance with pumice they stayed pretty soft.. But, being lazy as I am, after a year or so of no soaking, and no maintenance (and, no touching with any metal whatsoever), again they became hard and dry.

Tell your facial lady that I said she should stick to giving facials...

Callous Clear scam

I always look up the name of "questionable" looking products and the word scam, seems to keep more money in my pockets. I am a guy and I use a foot rasp. Look it up. The skin on your foot is 20 times thicker and tougher than normal skin without callouses. The rasp works, the thing is, daily use is the key. They work more aggressively out of the shower or bath than in and you can actually end up taking too much skin off and cause bleeding and/or pain. Just minimal use once a day for about 2 weeks and those cracked disgusting feet will be as smooth as a baby's behind.

One look at those gross pictures they had on TV and just knew it was a scam from my experiences with the rasp. You can get a colossal foot rasp on Amazon, made in the USA. It is a good deal I think because the handles on the smaller ones I bought break.

Does Callous Clear work?
Callous Clear does not work at all. I even left it on for nearly a half hour at one point and my callouses were just as hard and tough as before. You're better off going to a beauty supply and buying something more expensive that you'd have used on you in a beauty salon.

Re: Is Callous Clear a scam or does it work?
Get a Medicool drill and sand your calluses off when skin is dry. These run around $80, but if you have regular calluses, it's worth it, and will more than pay for itself rather than going to a salon or podiatrist again and again. Plus when you sand, you don't get the grooves in the skin you can get from cutting or shaving. I also have a hand-held file (not a drill, just a file) that looks like a little paddle with crinkled silver metal on it with a handle; I think these work better wet, with your feet in soapy water. Just search "callus file" online. I also like Kerasal lotion to keep dead skin from building up, but you have to be consistent with it. I am not compensated by any company - just my experience.

what to use instead of Callous Clear
One simple and inexpensive guaranteed remedy for dry, cracked and calloused feet is half warm water and half CLEANING WHITE VINEGAR!! It usually comes in a larger bottle than the salad vinegar and also is higher percentage! Trust me!! Soak your feet for about 15 minutes and follow up with a file or scraper and you will be AMAZED at the results! I put my name on this post because i am sure it will work better than a packaged product!!
