I have several banana trees that I've had for years & have grown fine. Just recently I have noticed some kind of red bug that has taken over the trees. They are pretty much eating them alive. If I don't do something soon, they will die. I was wondering if anyone knew of a type of insecticide that I can use that won't harm the trees. Thanks.

I would like to try the dish soap & water thing.  I heard that actually works.  What is the mixing ratio?  thanks

Here are the bugs. Couldn't get a real sharp photo of them because they are very small.

 a flame-thrower might help...

maybe you should post a photograph of the pests so the GuG-ee entomologists can ID it ?

Now they know how many holes it takes to fill the Albert Hall.
