Octuplets: Meet the Babies!

They are so incredibly tiny! I didn't realize so at first glance until the mother, Nadya, put her had on them and it really put it into perspective how fragile and tiny a 1-2# baby really is. Nadya has chosen biblical names for all 8 babies. She also confirmed that all 14 children/babies do have the same father. Thank goodness for that. I think he will eventually come forward, if not for support...then perhaps for his chance in the spotlight as well.

Re: Octuplets: Meet the Babies!

last night's interview...they were talking about how these kids have a much higher risk for developing cerebral palsy.  3 of her other 6 children are disabled as well.

I just hope these babies and all the children grow up as healthy as possible and with all the love, food, care that they require.

At this point i'm past being upset about taxpayers contributing, blah blah, because the fact remains that these children should not be punished for their mother's decision.

On a side note though i'm surprised the father is getting to slip away.  i'm not saying that he signed up for this or that he should have to be involved, or have to pay...etc. taking absolutely no side on that.  but i'm just surprised because usually the state will go after the father for the hospital bill and child support, especially if the mother is receiving any sort of assistance.

maybe she hasn't named the father yet.

another 'mom headline' today but it was accusing Nadya of trying to be Angelina Jolie! from the full lips to the hair and many kids. Nadya insists the lips have not been injected.

hair & lips are similar

Im pretty sure that in cases of in-vitro, fathers arent held financially responsible. Id have to double check, but im pretty sure I heard that on the news.

I might have been aware of the passing resemblance before but didnt realize it consciously until you posted this.

Ok... that is a bit creepy but I dont know exactly why.

I also read somewhere that 3 of her 6 children that were at home, are disabled. www.msnbc.msn.com/id/29110391/

I can't imaging caring for 8 newborns and 3 others that are disabled.  She needs some serious prayers right about now.

Re: Octuplets: Meet the Babies!

This birth is wrong in many ways.  The first point is that the mother already has 6 kids, has no job and is on disability and has mental issues.  The current kids live with her parents in a 3 bedroom home, and they have recently filed bankruptcy.  Secondly, who is going to support all these children?  She surely cannot on disability, so that leaves welfare, and with 14 kids will bring in a nice check, plus foodstamps  -  all on the taxpayers dime, plus all the charity she will no doubt receive.  Thirdly, what doctor did the procedure?  It was wrong since they either didn't do a proper background check on her, or did and just didn't care.  Who paid for this procedure, which is costly?

I think the mother possibly was looking for donations of a big house, diapers for life, money, nurse care, etc.  These are NOT reasons to have children.  I feel nothing but pity for all 14 of her children.  Mark my words, in the future you will be reading stories about them being miserable (the mother states her upbringing was dysfunctional - what does she think raising 14 kids will be like, normal?).

This whole thing angers me, and I think the mother had very selfish reasons to having all these kids when she can barely take care of herself, and her parents can't manage their money properly.  Just wrong on so many levels.

Edit:  I just read that she does, in fact, receive foodstamps.  I am sure she will be receiving much more than just the foodstamps now.  I had a gut feeling she was on welfare. So the taxpayers are supporting her great idea for 14 kids.  I wish I had had a say in that decision, because she would not have that many children.

K just because the mother is incompitent you do not have to bash those beautiful little children that are god's gift to earth.. they did not ask to be put onto this earth it happened.. so no need to say that there birth was wrong.. no birth is ever wrong its a beautiful gift and creation.. the parents who have them may be wrong... and if she is a nut that hopefully something will be done maybe someone should report her to children's aid or something so that the children can have a chance to have a happy up bringing.. but to say the birth is wrong is completley unnessicary... and guess what so they get help.. at least they care and just arnt sitting around and starving the children.. love is the #1 most important thing..

Yes, a birth is beautiful, but there is such a thing as responsibility in this world.
