removing an iCloud account

My ex husband has all my icloud information and password. He refuses to give me the password and he is being sent to prison. How can I get a new icloud account and remove his from my devices without having the password for the main account?
thank you

Re: deleting an iCloud account

Ehrm.. You just go into your device's settings screen, find the account, scroll to the bottom and tap the big red "Delete" button - no password needed (at least every time i've ever done it) !
Then go in and create your new iCloud.

Does that not work anymore?

I was wondering if that would work. I haven't tried that yet. Will that delete all the apps i have already purchased? Will my ex still be able to access my devices?

Re: deleting an iCloud account

If purchases were made under that icloud/iTunes account and you remove/delete that account from your Store settings, then yes. Remember, there are several places where you can have one/two/multiple accounts: email/Calendar settings, Messages settings, Store settings, Facetime settings, Find my iPhone settings - you will have to check / delete all of them.. or you can delete some, and leave the others depending on your needs.

Your ex can't "access" your devices now. Depending how things are configured he may be able to access your email or imessages and track your location with Find my iPhone so that might not be a good thing.

Does this also apply to Ipad and Itouch's? So that would mean that i would have to buy my games and apps again? Thank you so much, you have been very helpful

Re: deleting an iCloud account

It applies to every device using the iCloud/iTunes account that you no longer want to use.

And yes, your purchases are tied to an account. if you remove that account, you are no longer entitled to those games and apps (like if you sold your phone for example).. What I am not sure of (because i have never done it) is if this happens immediately, or some time later like when you add the new iCloud account.

How do i remove somebody's icloud off my phone without passcode they wont give it to me

Re: removing an iCloud account

In iOS 7 you only need the passcode to fully remove the iCloud account. You might be able to individually turn off pieces/services without the iCloud password. I have not yet tried doing a "restore as new device" in iOS7 .. But that may also require a password.

Re: removing an iCloud account
My mother found an IPhone 4s on the bus and gave it to me. It still had the previous owner's Apple and ITunes account. I was able to log out of that, but when I checked the ICloud account I tried to log out and it told me I needed the previous owner's account password. And now there is a notification popping up saying to verify his ICloud account every second,it is super irritating. I need a way to log out of his ICloud account. Please can someone help me with this problem.
Karma!
How can you be a WORSE PERSON?

No you stupid piece of SH!T! Clearly your momma has not taught you the difference between right and wrong as she appears to be as big a piece of SHI!T as you!
The problem you need to solve is how to FIND THE RIGHTFUL OWNER and return it to them!

If someone finds something of value OF YOURS on the bus, would you want them to find you and return it, or would you prefer they act like the same kind of sh!tbag that you are acting like and keep it for their greedy, worthless self?

OMFG, I cant believe you have the balls to come and ask this in public. You and your mother should both be ashamed of yourselves. How do you even look at yourself in the mirror? Assuming you are still a child, clearly with a shitbag mother that does not know the difference between right and wrong, I can almost understand.. It's really your mother that needs to reevaluate her values and how she is raising you. God have mercy on you and the future of the planet - because people like you and your mother are fu%cking it up for everyone else.

OMG - WOW!
WOW! I'm not sure I would use the same harsh language as the other person, but I agree. Your number one problem to solve should be how to get that thing back to its rightful owner, especially if you have their icloud information and email address right in front of you. Like the other person said, put yourself in the shoes of the person that lost it, and ask how you would like to be treated.

Don't listen to these jerks, they dont know what they are saying. Keep it for yourself, that's how the world works every man for himself nobody matters but number-one. just connect to itunes and reinstall it.
