Awesome, I love those shows. Any chance they'll show it on the mainland?

not sure, their homepage shows it on OC16, the public channel, so im guessing not.  i hope they do stuff like night marchers, or saddle road, or the mu on molokai. we'll see.

EVPs are my favorite next to video. hearing that stuff when there was nothing there before is amazing. I bet Hawaii has some good haunted places. What are the night walkers you mentioned below?

I don't want to die without any scars.

nightmarchers are hawaiian ghost warriors that marched on there old pathes.  it was said you could see the torch lights, and if your house or while driving your car was in their path, theyd march through it or your car would stall out.  if you had pork or kalua pig you had to surrender it as offering.  if they walked thru your house and you were not sleeping parallel to the march but perpendicular, then your life was taken.

saddle road is a road on the big island that gos from kona to hilo between mauna kea and mauna loa.  nightmarchers are said to be there too.  but they marched with a dog and if you crossed their path the dog was rumored to grow large as your car and could only be overcome if you fed it kalua pig.  so people used to carry pork with them, left overs when returning from a party.

mu are this creature on molokai thats supposed to be like a halfling with sharp teeth that capture and eat people.

lol, but i dont think any of thats tv appropriate/capturable.  they are just stories ive learned growing up that i would love to see light shed on.

Sounds like everybody just wants something good to eat. Neat stories.

Sounds like the Filipino Mumu, kind of the same character. Also the position of the bed is a Native American belief. Don't put your head of the bed towards the window and your feet towards the door. The bad spirits flies through the window and out the door with your soul.

It's always good to keep in mind, especially when positioning your childrens beds.

Re: 808 Ghosts

in el salvador there's supposedly a spirit dog that guides young people, who are out late at night, home.  it keeps them safe against would-be attackers.  my mother claims that this spirit appeared to her and followed her home one evening after a party.  i believe in other world things, always have.  so maybe she did see it.  or maybe someone spiked her jugo de tamarindo...who knows...

:P
