(Demoniod) Server Too Busy

I'm not sure if this is the right to place to post this but I have a question about the Server too Busy error.

My friend just got a Demonoid account yesterday. He was getting the "Server too Busy" error but was eventually able to log on and get an account. I understand the site is probably very busy because they had open registration yesterday. However, I'm logged on and not having any issues and I have another friend who went through the open registration yesterday and she's not having any issues either. Is this problem unique only to him or are there other people having this issue? I had one Server to Busy error but is was within the site with the Demonoid logo (if that makes sense). He's just getting the generic "Server too Busy" error that you get trying to log onto any site. Any suggestions?

My question is not so much about the Demonoid website as much as it is just understanding this error in general.

Server Too Busy

That message means basically the server is "too busy, try back later" - and it should show to everybody that tried to hit that server at that moment.
Most webmasters (depending on how their website is hosted/configured) can set a maximum number of visitors/connections per second to avoid the server from being overloaded and slowing down for everyone - once that limit is reached it will display that message.

The alternative is either a site that is so slow nobody can do anything, or the site going down/crashing altogether..

The issue ended up being on his end. He has the mobile wireless hook-up and had to uninstall and then re-install everything.
