I own a retail service and was able to sell them stuff when spam calls come to me, make good use of my time :-)
Even if you don't reverse market them, I imagine it could be fun for everyone that receives these unanticipated illegal spam calls to sign up with following name, phone number, address information. Preferably some minor variation of:
American Pro Energy
5632 Van Nuys Blvd.
Van Nuys, CA 91401
United States
Give them something to fill up their database with. This way, these marketing calls might end for good one day while the callers feel like they are doing something good.
OMG, it is like trying to flick a booger off of your finger to get these guys to stop calling! I get at least 4 calls a week, every week from these people!
I gave them very little information and booked an appointment. I made sure nobody was home for the appointment, then put a sign on the door that said, "Your company is unethical and disgusting. Stop the harassing phone calls. I will never do business with crooks." I haven't heard back from them. Was that too much?
I LOVE IT!! But knowing how unethical and unprofessional they are I would be worried that the guy would vandalize the house or something. If the people that they send to your house are anything like the people thay have on the phone, it's probably some homless guy or convict living in a halfway house.
What can I do to make this place stop calling me! I've asked them to remove me from their calling list and they either hang up or tell me they don't have to remove my number from their list! They call me almost every day!!
I have had several calls from 707 and finally asked them where they were calling from. They said Los Angeles, but 707 is a Northern Cal. #. The other calls were from Richmond, Ca. The person went on about the program and would not stop to listen. When I finally said "no thanks", he went off with some obscenities and then hung up.
When I get calls from them, I hang up and block the caller.
I had been called every day for weeks in a row. I was called from a (707) 400-xxxx number. When I asked to be removed from the list, I usually was hung up on. When I let them talk for a little while, I usually would get a response to being removed from the list but it was always that it was not possible. the last guy tried to tell me that the only way he knew how to get me removed from the list was to have someone come out to do a survey. Ha ha...does he think I was born yesterday. All that will do is get me onto the next step in their process!
I called this number 877.681.3976 from http://americanproenergy.com/ and left a message to be removed from the database. I thought it would lead to nowhere yet again just like my other attempts but I actually just received a call back. The guy was very apologetic and said he would remove me from their database. I hope it turns out to be true.

There's nothing at that address if you look it up on Google Maps.
Perhaps it would be better to give them a fake non-existent address. I may do that next time.
I dont think that would work because they always have your address already, at least every time they have called me, they did.
