Birth month

I'd like to pose a fun little question to everyone out there, epscially mothers & moms-to-be ...

If you could choose/change/pick the month of your birth, or that of your child's, what month would you choose and why?

Personally I ADORE October and would not change mine, but I'm curious to what others say/think. =)

I love being an Aries, but I've said since I was a teen, if I ever get knocked up and the kid's due during my sign, I'd seriously have to consider a do-over.  I don't think I could deal with myself as a teen from the other side of things...

My sister was  little dissapointed, Nephew was due in Libra, generally thought to be easy-going.  Baby was early, now she's stuck with a moody little Cancer.  Cute little surly child...

Re: Birth month

I'm an Aries as well, but I was born right on the cusp so I share a lot of traits with pisces as well.  Let me tell you that can be a little frustrating!!

I have often thought I would not want to be supremely pregnant during the summer months, I cannot stand humidity and I can only imagine how much more enjoyable being prego in such weather would be.

Re: Birth month

I was born in May. According to my mom that worked out well since she was prego during the winter months. Im not sure how well me being a taurus worked out for her though ;)

Re: Birth month

I like having a July birthday.  It's always been much more fun to celebrate summer birthdays than winter ones here.  I think I'd like to have a Fall baby though, so that I could celebrate their b-days with pumpkin cake and apple cider when they're little...lol, that may sound random but I just <3 the Fall.

Fall is one of my favorite times of year. I think a fall bday party would be wonderful.

Re: Birth month

Being a Libra & Snake sign fit me to a T ... I match both descriptions nearly perfectly.

Wow what great answers, Ladies!!  So interesting to learn another person's perspective.  :)

I like being in April... I like being a Taurus... but I wish April existed where June was (without June heat)... simply because that would give me a halfway point of presents between xmases... :)

Re: Birth month

i love that my birthday and my kids bdays are in the summer. living by the beach it makes for some great parties. unless its a rainy summer. yuck. not only can we do things like take the boat out but we dont have to worry about school interferring with traveling somewhere special for our birhtdays too. and there are no other special kid friendly holidays in the summer so it gives my kids a chance to get a little more spoiled in between holidays...kinda along the lines anime was talking about. i feel sorry for the people that have bdays in dec. when we were trying to get pregnant with our first i always told my hubby that  if the baby was due in dec it would have 2 bdays. a official in dec and a unofficial in the summer. when she got old enough we would have just let her pick out a day and celebrate her. actually, now thinking about it we may still roll with that idea. let each child pick a day. whenever they want and make it an extra fun appreciation day. hmmmm

Re: Birth month

My husband and I are trying to plan our first baby. We both work in education so we are trying to have the baby be born around may, that way we have maternity leave followed by summer vacation with the baby.

I was born in March, I don't think I would change it. It isn't my favorite month, but sometimes (like this year) it falls during Spring break, and I can go on vacation!

Re: Birth month

My mom is an Aries. My dad is a Taurus. I'm a virgo, September was a great birth month, EXCEPT that I had to wait a whole year to start school because of being not yet 5....silly school.  If I could pick when to have a baby it would be EARLY spring, when it's still cool, maybe late to middle March, just because it's still pretty chilly out but not like if you were to have a baby in late fall and have to deal with a lot of extra blankets, and that way too when it gets warmer out the baby is old enough not to get over heated so easily. :)
