One of my many loves

ok tried to post this blog earlier but had a few technical difficulties, lol.

So i fancy myself a bit of an amateur photographer. Here are some of my favorites.

Feel free to give feedback, do you like/dislike? Do they stir any feelings, memories? Let me know! Laughing

The nature pics are from Hot Springs Mountain, VA. Atom's mom has a house up country there. It's beautiful. At the bottom of that waterfall is a little lagoon, we went swimming in our underroos as we didn't bring bathing suits. We didn't know it was there, a wonderful suprise after the hike down.

What awesome pics! You have a great eye ;) My fav is the one right above the waterfall... An angel and a something else... A cross with a ribbon on it? Terrific pic

Wow they are beautiful pik's you should post more.

I like your critique about the angel reaching toward heaven with no hand. Very symbolic for me these days. Great photography Tat!

That looks like an awesome place to take a swim. What a treasure! I love the pics. I try to take pictures as often as I can. Nature is very calming. I tend to sway toward sunsets. I love an angry red sky.

Nice work!

That water has GOT to be cold!!

I know that I'm wearing a wetsuit any time the water is below 70 degrees.

I'm in Westen, MD not really too far from Skyline drive...Cute photograph!!

Awesome pictures :) The waterfall is my favorite :)

wow! what a coincidence! It is so beautiful up there! So are you from around that area , or were just just going thru? were planing another trip as soon as the weather warms up.  here's a photograph of me in the lagoon you fell into lol :)

That's the same one!! :) And right at the base is where I fell in!! LoL...I love Skyline Drive is so beautiful there!

yes it is, it is probably the same one, it has a pull off on the side of the road, with some picnic benches and its fenced along the over look, you have to walk down some steep rocks to get to the base of the falls.

The nature pics. Are they around Skyline Drive? I know you said Springs Mountain. But skyline goes on forever, so I was just wondering. I have pictures from a waterfall there somewhere & one taken where I actually fell in!! lol

the more i look at these my own favorite is the field of tombstones at night, it just looks so desolate, and forgotten, very eerie.

Well Done!

My wife and I photograph and sell images from local New Orleans Cemetaries. Angels mainly.....Some are over 100 years old. It makes for wonderful art.

ps. I also have been inked 23 times or so.....Much respect to the Tattoo Artist in you....It has allowed me to hold onto memories over the last 25 years that deserve never to be forgotten. My ink tells my story from '82 to present day. The good and bad......

Good luck in all your ventures.

The picture with the fallen trees laying across the water.  It's a bridge for me to cross so I can explore more.  It looks like fun to me.

If I was standing on a fish, I'd slip and fall......

thats a cool meaning i never even thought of! im glad i posted these

after i took that picture, it stuck out to me how it is an angel that to me looks like its reaching up to heaven, but the weird symbolism of it having no hand.

another thought, you said to you the sky looks stormy, but to me it looks peaceful, the clouds just make me think of pretty things. its cool how a photograph can give someone two totally different feelings.

I like the photograph of the statue with no hand, it looks like it is shaking its stump at the world bringing on that storm

My fav is the lagoon one. Second is the statue with the cross. The waterfall is a very close third. All are great pics! Here in SW FL we don't have many older cemeteries. Or waterfalls.

I love the waterfall and lagoon. It looks so refreshing after being in the house all the time for the winter. Though I do have to admit the pictures of the cemetery do creep me out. Night+Cemetery just makes me think dead people will come after me. lol They are beautiful pictures.
