This is one place where abstinence doesn't make any sense

I haven't been logged on in a while and please excuse my ignorance to any of the recent events here at GuG. You all know how wild and crazy we can get here at the Geek. And tho I fool about this site, I got to tell you, abstinence from theGuG, not only brings about psychological withdrawal; it also produces physical symptoms, as well.

I have been hospitalized from March 27th until

April 5th; that is nine nights. Nine nights and ten days of total, mind numbing abstinence from the GuG . Do you know what that means? Even now, sitting at the keyboard, I can relive the shaking and the feel of my stomach flipping, OMG, it was sheer hell. It got to the point that my doc wanted to know what meant so much that I just had to get back online. Of course, I tried to tell him, but he just refused to believe it was something as innocent as the GuG website! If only he could know, the unspeakable power of all the knowledge that is held here! It is just too strong to deny! the ever right on suggestions by LynnH, Dave Smooth,Ashton, foambrush, tatoodles, mizwingss, smart mom, boredmom, animestrinity, ooh, there are so many more, especially not forgetting the top of the cartel...the geek and Hubby!!!

Eventually, my maladies were put under control. Once again, I could get home to what really mattered, my kids, my husband, of course...and the fine people from the Grown up Geek...ah, life is good, no matter how sick one may be...juliek

Juliekk, this is not related to your post, I just want to ask you a question.  I went to visit your MySpace profile, and I have to know, is that your artwork on your photograph page?  Both are beautiful.

Thanks to all for the well wishes!! I sure missed you guys and I am soooo glad to be back. julie

I just had to reply under tatoodles, cause I was going to call you a GuG junkie too!  So, ditto.  ;)

I'd say you are surrounded by lots of friends here.  Glad you are back and you are safe.

So, it looks to me that if you fail to take care of yourself, your punishment will be 'No GuG'.  I'd say that's a good enough incentive for me! I will have to remember that.

GuG on friend.

Lynn

If I was standing on a fish, I'd slip and fall......

I agree GuG is a healthy addiction. Best one i have had:)

I can commiserate on the GuG withdrawal, Julie! It's such a great place and I absolutely adore the people here. They may be miles away, but they reach my heart all the time.

I'm sorry your health sidelined you again but glad to hear all is on the mend. Take some time to be with your family and appreciate what you have. It sounds like you got a good thing going.
