blog tracker

Afternoon Gug's,

Anyone want to comment on the best blog tracker out there? I'm trying to find a halfway decent one.

Anyone heard of www.expertcounter.com? Its the one i currently have. Anyone know of a better one? Since this one doesn't seem that effective.

Thanks for your time Gug's!!!

Re: blog tracker

I use mixmap for my myspace blog tracker. it works pretty well. it helped me out last night when someone tried to lie and say they didn't read my blog. caught them red handed.

Re: blog tracker

I have set up a mixmap account for my blog (as well as my profile). But when I add the code, my blog headline/title dissapears. So, I deleted the code.

I want to have both, the tracker and my headline/title. Can someone help?

Re: blog tracker

Are you putting it under Custom Header > Site Name? or Your Own Header HTML? Because I had it under the Custom Header part at first and my code broke.

If it is under Your Own Header HTML, and you already have another code in there, there's probably some interaction. Maybe clear out the other code?

Re: blog tracker

I put the code under "your own header html."

The thing is, because I gotta choose between "no custom header", "custom header" (where you can pick font style, font size, font color, etc, as well as where you can type your tagline and title); and "your own header html". if I chose the later, then I can't choose "custom header" which is where the title of my blog is.

I hope this makes sense...

I got around that.  Put in your header and tagline, and save it.  worry about the tracker in a minute.  Now, go to your blog, and view source.  Find the part of the code that includes your headline.  Copy it, and paste it into the custom header section, and put your tracker codes in after it.  Ta Da!!!  :D

Re: blog tracker

You can use a trackspace tracker code to see who reads your blogs. You can put trackers in alot of places :)

Re: blog tracker

CreateBlog works, too.  I signed up for Trackspace and stuck it in my headline, but I got tired of all the 'unidentified', so I put it inside with my others and went back to CB.

Re: blog tracker

To put the tracker in your blogs, click on blogs and then click on customize blogs, and then under the page header click the button for 'your own header html', and then place a trackspace (or other) tracker code in there. Use a separate tracker code that is specifically for tracking this, otherwise  you will see hits from people viewing your profile and you wont know if they actually viewed your blog.
