Summer Water Sports

'Tis the boating season! And will be in our area until at least mid November. We are in the desert but we do have lakes. Not much sailing area, but power boats are a plenty. As are house boats. Jet skiing, wake boarding, water skiing, and getting pulled on a tube behind the boat is always a hit with kids and adults. How much time to you spend at the shore? Lake? or Beach? What is your favorite thing to do?

looks like we may be selling our power boat due to our relocation, but will photograph up a sail boat for the chesapeake bay area instead. it will be quite the change from fresh water to the atlantic waters once we get there. brrrr.

Tubing where I live is a must during the summer for many of us. It's cheap, fun, and relaxing. It's a long chill ride, you pack up a cooler with some drinks, beer, lots of water, lunch, sun block, and towels. The tubes get REALLY hot here in the desert so you have to take a Long beach towel to wet and put over your tube to sit on. I learned yesterday that a fitted sheet works best. It's a lot of fun, and can get crazy, especially with everybody drinking in the hot sun. I didn't drink yesterday (i'm such a good girl now) but I did drink a lot of water and put on sunblock like it was going out of style, and yet still got sunburned!! Today and yesterday I've been putting on Aloe Vera Cooling gel with Menthol for the pain relieving and to moisten my skin. I stick it in the fridge so it goes on nice and extra cool for the heat my body is releasing. Check out our little Salt River here http://www.saltrivertubing.com/ .

-Pain is weakness leaving the body- USMC OOrah!
