I was typing, when all of a sudden my caps lock was enabled. I toggled it, but it will NOT come off caps lock, and to get a small letter, I have to hold the shift key. I tried a reboot. I got so frustrated I even tried a system restore! No luck. It's almost like when I was typing, I hit some combination of keys together that made this happen.
Does anyone have any idea what I can do to UNDO this, and then disable caps lock for life?
thanks!
Lisa
Go to Device Manager and uninstall your keyboard. Right-click My Computer\Properties\Hardware\Device Manager. Open the tree under keyboards, rt click on the keyboard entry and click Uninstall. Reboot your PC and it will refind and reinstall your keyboard..
If that doesn't fix it, borrow another keyboard to see if the malfunction is a problem with one of your keys.
thanks this worked perfectly
It may have been sticky keys, tap the shift 5 times, then a pop up should come up, just hit ok, and it should be fixed,
The only stupid question is the one that remains unasked
