Re: Car dies when it's stopped

One other thing that could be wrong is the fuel itself.  For whatever reason, fuels that contain ethanol seem to be a cause of the engine cutting off when you're stopped at a red light, or stop sign.  I once had an '84 Mercury Marquis that did this same thing.  The engine had less than 80,000 miles on it when it started doing this, and even the best mechanic in town couldn't figure it out until he asked, "What kind of fuel have you been using, and I told him where I'd been filling up.  He just said, "Oh, ethanol."  From everything he said, I gather that ethanol burns too hot for most engines made from cast aluminum, which is what most engines are made, as opposed to cast iron.  So, my guess would be to fill up somewhere that they aren't using ethanol, which may be difficult, seeing as how this is what many of the gas pumps are using these days.

It can be a fuel line for somewhat electrical! Might want to check some alternators to make the car run again, the battery needs backup component for charging to prevent the car from stalling.

I've had the same with my vehicle, ended up being a dirty IAC Valve.

Re: Car died in drive thru
I had the A/C on most of the drive and then when I pulled into the drive thru and came up to the window it just died on me. I only saw the battery light come on. It started right up again with no trouble. Could the air conditioning cause this. My car is a 94 Toyota Corolla. I hate to drive it and worry about it dying on me somewhere else and not starting up again.

Check spark plugs, IAC Valve, and fuel filter

I have 03 Camry 4 cylinder. It cuts off anytime am idling. This is frustrating because I just changed the spark plugs and one coil. What is the problem?

With the scant bit of information you have provided, there is no way someone is going to be able to diagnose the problem for you.
Take it to a professional since you obviously do not have to skills to diagnose and fix it yourself.

Re: Car dies when it's stopped

Our cars been doing the same thing. It's been in the shop twice(is there now) and the mechanic cannot find the problem. He replaced a sensor and just cleaned out the parts of the exhaust and it was fine for a week. Then it went back to its old crap. He's even checked the fuel pump and everything else he could think of. He said the only thing he can think of is the car is possessed lol.
It runs great otherwise. Starts right up too.
