Yup.

I was so going to avoid this post and I swear I've spent like a half an hour on it.

Maybe I would have gotten more responses if I had posted a picture of myself using that stare... and maybe holding a screwdriver... yes... and maybe a shifter in another hand...

Have I mentioned how much I love you guys?

Okay, I'll check into that and see how it goes... and then I'll let you guys know if I can get it to work... or if I break my car more.

I was...um...being sarcastic with my last post.

There are virtually no results on the net about your car's condition, and what is there...are questions like yours that nobody has responded to.

Well, there was one response..."take it to the dealer".

The link about finding your fusebox was good, though. Take about 10 minutes with a pair of needle-nose pliers and the diagram that is located on the back of the fusebox panel (at least I hope there's one there. If not, the diagram will be in your owners manual.) and check the fuses that are related to the dashboard - like the cigarette lighter - to see if the metal filament inside is broken or non-existent.

If they look good, then it's probably a light bulb and I would recommend that you have a mechanic look at it.

Warranty???

Re: Car help! Shifter light....

*gives Ashton a dirty look for sarcastic remark*

And I killed the warranty commuting from Canyon Lake to San Antonio when I was in highschool... I had gotten the car new...

--wow, just had an epiphany as to why one of my rear speakers goes in and out... musta been when I was hella rear ended by that mercedes... dammit, too late for her insurance to do anything about it now

back on topic,  I'm now hoping it's just a fuse... because if you're recommending taking it to a mechanic, then that means I won't be able to do it myself and will have to use my feminine powers on the male types.

It'll have to wait a few days though... or maybe I can have my cousin look at it, and then tell Boyfriend I did it all by myself.... what he doesn't know can't hurt him lol

HDV lamp scam
HDV offers 18W Heavy Duty Vehicles 12V/24V LED auto work light that is total garbage. They claim it provides a bright xenon white light that is much easier to work under than the conventional light from a halogen bulb but it's total garbage. Don't waste your money I'm pretty sure it's a scam. Also watch out for their fake comments posted on websites and positive reviews that are nothing more than spam.
