cell phone activity

My spouse and I no longer reside together. I still suspect that he may be involved in illicit activities both on his cell phone, home computer and possibly my computer. My cell phone and home computer are protected and have safeguards on them.

How would I know if he has hacked into either my cell or computer? I also would like to know if he is still receiving illicit material on his phone/computer. I have never had access to his passwords for either devices, nor do I know if he has different email addresses other than his business email. I am not technologically savy. I just want reassurance that my cell and computer are safe and if he is still involved in things, how would I access that info.

We both have Blackberry's, different models and different carriers.

Thank you.

Re: cell phone activity

How you check your cellphone depends on the specific model and OS that it is running.

To know if your computer has been hacked, you can run a variety of AntiMalware programs (standard anitivirus, standard anti rootkit, SpyBot, MalwareBytes) but to be certain you may want to pay a professional to check/clean it (would you try to check the transmission on your car if you weren't 'mechanically savvy' ? ).

To know what he is doing on his phone/computer you will either have to seriously break the law, or just ask him.

Have no intention of doing anything illegal. If I added his email address to my cell phone account, would I receive his emails? Would he be notified?

To add his email account to your phone (or to anything) you will need the email password. If you have that, and configure it properly, then you would receive email for that account. Whether or not he gets any notification depends on the email service and options that he may or may not have configured on it.
