Yeah, you pretty much hit the nail on the head. She can be pretty grumpy but she doesn't mind being held for a bit--when she's not hungry, of course, ha! I've read that Kings tend to be feisty when they're young but mellow out with age... seems to be true more or less.

Just wanted to say that's a great photograph of your little guy. I don't think I'd ever keep a snake in the house but I'm not afraid of them or anything. I've held a few. I've also heard about the beer thing. That should work if he ever bites you again...just try not to get bitten again...ouch! lol

I have a king snake and he goes after my fingers. Honestly I'm just patient. He eventually realizes my finger is attached to something much bigger and he let's go. Sometimes I'll hold his head under running lukewarm water to speed up the process but waiting is the name of the game.

Thanks! Yeah, that's definitely an experience I don't want to relive. But if it does happen again, I'll have more of an idea what to do.
