their recent tour was sooo good!! one of the better concerts ive been too.
i've never missed a U2 concert in az, and with that said, never saw a bad U2 concert performance. now, Zooropa was a bit "out there" but still a great performance. my first was the making of rattle & hum which was filmed at ASU. it was free. i know we'll be attending their show once it hits philly, if not, we'll arrange a flight deal to LA or perhaps seattle.
No problem. Any thoughts on this single? I say it's better then vertigo, but not as good as The Fly(hard to top that one though). I definitely think I'll be picking the album up on day one.

i like it so far. the more i hear it the better it sounds. i'm comparing it too much to the joshua tree cd. their best work ever.
Its more akin to Achtung Baby. It sounds allot better after my (unrelated to the song) nausea subsided. One of the things about this song that admittedly does irk me a little is the "Yeah" after they say get on your boots, that's just such a cliché. But you got to love the "Let me in the sound" part.
Edit: I should add that it's the way the yeah is harmonized that I find cliché. It's just a word that doesn't sound good sung be more then one person, especially in the nearly speaking voice timbre that they sing it in and do so through some type of vocal filter.

i'm not sure who is writing or making the decisions for them, but i do not like the new sound. maybe like you said Nhatch, listening to it a few times. i tried. then went back this morning. it frustrates me. i know they can do much better.
i read that a few days ago. two great things come to mind: (1) new music, (2) tour!
