I'd love to hit the road for a few weeks this summer and do some soul searching. I've been all over Europe, and it would be nice to see some of the States that are right in my backdoor.

I've only been out of the country to go to Canada, but I went on a 10 week road trip of the US right out of high school. I recommend it. Our country has so much to offer and it is much cheaper to travel in your own backyard (I've been to every state, but Hawaii).
I really want to go to Europe, but have a rule that everything has to be paid in cash. So before I can ever save up enough to go abroad I end up planning a trip somewhere in the states. I think I'll be going to New Orleans in a few months. I love the food there!!! And if you are into history (or partying :) ) the city has a lot to offer. The other places to top my list are NYC, Boston, Old Orchard Maine, and of course San Francisco (the city that has my heart).
I thought we were going on your honeymoon to europe? hehe
I reallllly want to do the cross country trip. I would LOVE it so much, i just know it! I want to rent an RV and do it. I was just talking to someone about this actually.

It is so worth it. My husband has never been on a real road trip, but doesn't like my driving so I can't talk him into it! You can still come on my honeymoon, although I still have to see if I can get the place in the French Quarters for free from my Auntie. She offered it a few weeks ago and I was still on the fence about it. Do you like Cajun food?
Forgive me for being a little late to this thread.
2009 has already taken me to Los Angeles. Chicago is possibly next in two-ish months. Wish me luck in procuring funds for Chicago! :D
