i have several burning tools installed on my ancient computer. i used to use just dvd shrink then used dvd shrink with dvd decrypter then used dvd shrink and dvd fab. now dvd shrink wont work for the actual burning process. i get an error log (which i can post later if need be)i think it may have something to do with nero. anyway i downloaded dvd flick and burnaware to try and use something different. dvd flick tell me there isnt enough room on my blank dvd for the burn. ive always used the same dvds and had plenty of room. the movie isnt any longer or bigger than any of my other ones. the only thing i can think that i did differently on dvd shrink was take out all the spanish and french stuff. so now im afraid i have too many options and im not using them properly or in the correct order. can anyone give me some quick step by steps? thanks much!
Help For Beginners!
I havnt used DVD Shrink in a long time, but when I did, i would always remove ALL of that "stuff" like menus, other languages, subtitles, etc. this would leave me with just the movie which would auto-play. The thing that always DID give me trouble was the media.. Are you using the same media/disks, or are you trying new ones?
...post some of that error-log and let's have a look..
yup using the same media (dvd disks) i have in the past. i will post the log later this eve when i get back to the ancient puter.

Do you (or did you) use any Roxio burning software?
i have it on my pc. but i dont open it with dvd shrink. burning has always just been automatic thru dvd shrink. (when i say automatic- its just to my uneducated about this stuff self) ive never had to associate the two.
DVD Shrink uses Nero for it's burning, and i have read that Roxio (or some of it's drivers) are not compatible with/cause problems with Roxio. If you dont use Roxio and/or if you have the CD that you can easily re-install it if necessary I would UNinstall it and see if that helps. If you still see that "File 'Drivers\CDRALW2K.SYS': Ver=5.3.4.21, size=23436 bytes, created 1/7/2005 5:37:41 PM" line near the end of your log, then Roxio (CDRAWL2K.SYS) is not fully uninstalled and you may need to use a Roxio uninstaller (try THIS)..
i dont think i have the disc. think it just came on the computer. not that i really need it i guess. so weird casue its always worked before though.... hmpf. i think some computers do take on a life of their own. lol
since i dont have the roxio disk is there a way to reinstall it later. maybe for free?
Erhmm.. I know in the past they had free-trials you could download, but it was only good for 30-days or something like that. Did the Roxio come with your computer? you sure it's not included with your recovery CD's ?
removing roxio didnt help. same message. =( im stuck. have all these progrmas and still cant burn the darn movie. ugh.
