Re: Why isn't my MP210 Pixma Cannon scanner not working?
Thank you, thank you. Finally I've got the solution. It is a bit silly to link the scanner with ink but in my case it worked when I'd just removed the ink and put it back again. The scanner worked. Brilliant.
Thank you ever-so much
Re: Why isn't my MP210 Pixma Cannon scanner not working?
Hi,
I hope it's not too late... I had the same problem : Error code E16 because my ink cartridges were empty and I wasn't able to scan... I tried what Hubby suggested at first :
"on page 45 there is a "E,1,6" error which means it's out of ink. It says you can press the stop/reset button for 5-seconds or longer which should clear the error"
and it worked for me. I can now scan without changing my ink cartridge. I'm not sure, but you don't mention if you tried it.
Re: Why isn't my MP210 Pixma Cannon scanner not working?
Hubby, I realize I am responding to a problem and comments posted back in 2010 but just wanted to let you know that the wisdom you shared helped a very befuddled blogger in 2013! I scan pictures that I've drawn into my computer and then use them on my blog - I must have scanned about 30 pictures or so now with no issues. Then tonight, I had the exact same woes that ureverydaygoddess described. My husband and I had gone through all the typical motions of unplugging, re-starting, etc. to no avail. I Googled the issue and the first couple pages I came across were completely unhelpful. Then I stumbled across here and learned about pressing the stop/reset button for 5 seconds.
Brilliant! Now I can scan the blasted picture and get on with my life instead of running out to Office Depot! Thanks so much! :D
Re: Why isn't my MP210 Pixma Cannon scanner not working?
My scanner does not work. It says to me that there is an Error, but I try to push 5 seconds and more the button and continued the error.
What can I do??

If you read this page and all of the comments and tips, you would know, yes, that could be the problem.
