the 06 dodge ram has a free moving engine system, so ima say that the 04 stratus is free moving, cause for the little bit of answers that i am finding under dodge vehicles is saying free moving, but i could be wrong,
Any engine - Gasoline, Diesel, or rotary has "displacement" - this is the amount of "space" that the combined combustion chambers occupy or "displace". Generally, the more displacement, the more potential power the engine has.
I have never heard of a "free moving" engine - did you just make that up?
I've never heard of any of it - I'm soooo clueless about it all LOL! She called me frantically to see if I could find it on the internet. She broke down a few hours ago - got towed - and she called her ex-boyfriend afterwards and he said if it's "free-moving" that it's going to cost a lot more money to replace the timing belt - but if it's a "displacement" engine then it would cost less. He looked at it afterwards and said that two teeth are messed up on something and that he would be back another day to look at it again. Thanks everyone for the ideas :)
Does your friend have a DOHT engine? If not then its a regular displacement engine, not a double overhead. To the best of my knowledge no cars use a free-moving (stirliing) engine but I could be wrong.
