How to disable iCloud GPS Tracking on your iPhone

Update: This page and the video below show images and steps specific to iOS 6 however the steps are basically the same on iOS 7, IOS8 and iOS 9

You can prevent being tracked on an iPhone via iCloud & Find My iPhone several ways - all by various methods of disabling or removing the Find My iPhone service on your phone.

Method 1: Disable the location services
Disabling the location services on your iPhone will prevent anyone from tracking you using the Find My iPhone service.  You can either disable all location services for all apps or just for the Find My iPhone service.  To access the location services settings, tap the settings icon, tap "Privacy", then tap "Location Services".  You can either disable all location services by tapping the on/off switch at the top or scroll down to Find My iPhone, tap it, and then tap the on/off switch for "Find My iPhone"

Method 2: Disable the Find My iPhone Service
You can completely disable Find My iPhone by tapping Settings, then iCloud, then tap the on/off switch for Find My iPhone.  You can also delete the iCloud account from the phone by tapping DELETE at the bottom of the screen but be aware this will remove all iCloud services from your iPhone.

Method 3: Change your iCloud/Find My iPhone/AppleID password
If you prefer to leave Find My iPhone functional to track it should it become lost or stolen, but don't want someone else to track you, just change your iCloud/Find My iPhone password.  To change your iCloud/Apple ID password, log in to, select Manage your account, click Password and Security, then in the center of the screen, click "Change Password".  You will then have to enter your new password in your iPhone iCloud settings - be sure that you DON'T give the new password to your stalker!

Any of the methods above, or all combined will help prevent someone from tracking your location on your iPhone.

If you have properly disabled Find My iPhone and/or location services, then the iPhone can no longer be located using Find my iPhone.

Can he still track you somehow? yah, probably, but not with iCloud. I highly recommend following the rules as the best way to stay out of trouble.

Hey if I disable GPS tracking and change password on iCloud no one can track me right?
I got in with the wrong people and this older guy keeps threatening me with text messages and calls me off a blocked number it's really starting to scare me. I've blocked his number but can't block blocked phone calls.
He says he can hack into anything including my phone, facebook, emails, and knows everything anout me and where I am.
I'm really really scared. But can't tell my parents because they would judge.

If you change your iCloud password and disable Find My iPhone/Location Services and assuming your iPhone is not jailbroken, there is virtually no way that you can be tracked via iCloud.

FWIW: Almost always, when someone declares "I can hack into anything" it means they are better at watching movies than hacking..

This guy threatens me saying "do you not know what I do you dumb blond beeeiotch, your choice I will leave something nasty for your friends and family" and when I was seeing him he told me people pay him to do background searches on their husbands if their cheating?! I'm Worried because I don't want to see him and told him so and he keeps threatening me. Is there anything else I can do? He keeps calling me off of a blocked number and I'm terrified to answer any blocked numbers. I don't know what to do anymore. :(

You're being stocked and harassed...tell you parents now and get law enforcement involved. The guy sounds like he preys on those who he feels he can intimidate or frighten. Stop waiting for this to get worse...grow a pair and face this down.

Well if your in Utah hit me up will teach you how to fix his buttons.. If not well believe me if he could do all that he would not tell you... Really its a fine line and its easy to cross there are lots can be done to mess with you but most if not all is so so so so so against the law and there are strict penalties for crossing the line so wouldn't tell you if really was able to do so..

So listen just food for thought you are predictable and he knows this.. he knows you probably use the same password for like everything so change all passwords you can use the same as before just use caps on the first two letters and hell never figure that out .. change all passwords especially email and recovery stuff cause he is probably merely looking into your email address and that's really all would need to really mess with you.. so that's way to fix problemm..

You need to tell your parents what is going on right away! They will put an end to this. They will not judge!

You need to buy a phone other than Iphone!

I lost my I phone does iPhone tracker work if that phone is out battery

Yes of course it would still work without electricity why would you think that it needs any kind of energy?
