I had a bit of a shock. I checked out a friends location on FMFs tonight and they SMS me almost immediately to say I had just tracked them. I didn't know it was possible to see if someone was tracking you on this App.
Can someone advise how this is possible. Im on OS5, they may be on OS6 if this makes any difference.
what is a FMFs ?Nevermind, i figgerd it out.Find My Friends doesnt specifically tell you who's tracking you - but it's easy to figure out who's tracking you if they have a short friends-list. There is a notification (tiny arrow up near the clock) any time Location Services is being used, you can then go into Privacy Settings and see that Find My Friends is/has been in used. if you only have 1 or 2 friends in Find My Friends, they can figure it out.
Does it send them a notice? When I go into Privacy settings it shows all of the people that I am friends with but it doesn't show me if they have requested a notice when I arrive?
You have to send them a request in the "Find My" app (formerly "Find My Friends") and they then have to approve your request. Once approved you can see where they are in the Find Friends app and they will get no notification UNLESS you setup a notification to let you know when they leave/arrive at a particular location.
can I stop them ive got wifi protector
This discussion is about the Find my Friends app.
you should probably start a new discussion/question and provide more detail, that way someone may be able to help you.
If the person is following me and I ask to follow back do the get a notification of any kind letting them know I asked to follow
In order to follow someone with the Find Friends app, they have to give permission - so yes, they would not only be notified, they would have to approve/allow the request.
Imagine the chaos if you could just follow anyone without their knowledge!
If you want to see someone location how do u do it without there knowledge they would know when they erase a text message from u
