Mini me lately has been really into playing board games. She calls them "old fashioned" games. Paleeeze child! Anyway, she digs as of late "Life," "Operation," and UNO. Even though that one is a card game, she picked up on it quickly and kicks butt! When I grew up with 6 siblings, board games always kept us entertained. Until that is, when the oldest of the 7 of us decided he would bring home a Ouiji Board game from a friends house. I, to this day, cannot even look at one. Scary paranormal stuff. Oh, then he decided to get really spooky on us and introduced & talked all of us younger kids in to having a séance. Yes, cruel and unusual older sibling. One in every bunch!
I preferred games such as Life, Clue, Battleship, and Scrabble. Does anyone play board games these days or is everything electronic? Do you or have you introduced your favorite childhood games to your children?
Clue, Monopoly
, Candyland, Memory
, Snakes and Latters (is that what it was called??), and checkers!!
-Pain is weakness leaving the body- USMC OOrah!
Ooh, I love Monopoly! That's my favorite board game ever!
My granddaughters have been with me a lot this summer. Of course they like to get on the computer and play games and do their Webkin and Club Penguin stuff, but they also have been playing some board and card games. They have Trouble, Candy Land and the Junior Monopoly, and they make me play Yahtzee with them frequently. I'm happy the 9 year old can do her own score keeping on the Yahtzee. She's very good at math.

that's awesome! you should PM me their club penguin names. mini me has been a member for about 1.5 years and loves it. she is one of their secret agents - which is like a site mod amongst the penguins!
she also is on webkins - she had 19.
Tuna ><((((*> the other white meat!
I'll try to remember to get their screen names. They left today to spend some time with the "other" grandparents. I don't know how many webkins they have but there are a lot. They also have some other "web pets", of some kind, but I don't remember what they are. A couple of my grandsons also like Club penguin, but I don't know their screennames either. What a bad GM I am!!
Heck yes! I love board games.
Monopoly takes forever, but I remember Guess Who? I think my favorite was Mouse trap. I love that thing. Oh, I had a Goosebumps one too. I wonder what happened to that thing. Unfortunately I didn't have many game boards as a kid because I needed more players than just my cousin.
Making them is fun too! The last one I made was on Schizophrenia. Too bad my professor kept it :(
I used to love playing the gamne "Risk"... Haven't played for a while but I'm going to dig it out of attic and have the 2 sons play with me.
I bought a 60's mint chipboard Ouiji board off eBay. It's beautiful. Not a scratch.
When I finally decorate, it's going to hang in my computer room. I might protect it in a shadowbox. I don't believe in ghosts so it will be cool. At least that's what that demon-guy said last time I played it alone.
I always wanted to play on a Ouiji Board... but... it was 'evil'... which was strange since my family isn't really religious lmao... still want to play though... I like paranormal stuff... the building I live in used to be a hospital (built in 1916)... we've got ghosts.. it's awesome... ... perfect place for a Ouiji Board

still evil in my book. once you read about it, i cannot believe it is considered a game. more like, talk to the devil or play with the devil. scared the crap out of me for....pretty much life!
