Here's my desktop! I also use RocketDock along with Stacks Docklet to keep everything organized. It gives my desktop that clean Mac-like feel! When I'm super-bored, I like finding, tweaking, and/or making icons in Photoshop. I have the summers off, so yeah, it gives me something to do!
Man that is sharp. I considered trying the stacks. Do you like it a lot or is it just ok? FlimFlam, you might want to ask CM about hiding the default XP trash icon as it appears hidden or removed on this desktop.
I like it a lot. I frequently use Firefox & Opera browsers and most of MS Office, so it's an easy way to have all of those icons easily accessible but w/o all the clutter of having them plastered on my desktop.
I use Rocket dock too and I might add the stacks for Open office. That's the only program I use that has multiple options. I only use one browser. I'll probably go ahead and try it out. I can always remove it. Thanks.

Holler if you need any help setting it up. It's not too bad, but it can be a little tricky the first time.
This is my desktop with Rocket Dock on show.....
clicky
(hope that works!)
Its normally hidden, but the fact that I've got it even is all Thank you ever-so much to the wonder of this thread :)
One question though......
.....how do I hide away the recycle bin? Thats the only thing on show on my desktop when rocket dock is tucked away :-?

If everybody looked the same, we'd get tired of looking at each other :)
That's an easy fix.
In XP, right-click on your desktop > Arrange Icons By > Show Desktop Icons.
Pretty much the same in Vista. Right-click > View > Show Desktop Icons.
My work one, will take my home one when i get home :-D

Ok, here's my Linux Mint computer now that I've had some time to play with it more.
I don't want to die without any scars.
