Re: Never use Farmers Insurance.... please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Liberty Mutual has been great for us. We used to have State Farm but switched when they refused to re-write people in MS and other Katrina states. We have family in MS and we thought it was wrong, all wrong for SF to not renew policies. Anyway, I know each state has an Insurance Dept...can you report them or file a complaint with the state Ins Dept? I believe I would have freakin' gone off on someone for not telling me they'd taken my car apart!!!!! Sigh...
Re: Never use Farmers Insurance.... please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Personally we had no problems w/SF; we were unhappy with how they treated people in those states. Liberty Mutual was able to beat their rates on the house and autos (surprising since we'd been w/SF for so long) and the few times we've had to file claims, we've had NO probs whatsoever. So we're happy for now.

I have State farm auto insurance and they have been good to me. My company has Auto Owners and they have also been great (not sure if they write personal auto insurance)....[/quote]
I have State Farm too for my personal auto insurance, and I haven't had any problems. The agent and his assistants are very attentive and respond to my emails quickly...

Since this ever so lovely company wont drop me I cant get on the states insurance plan and NO other company will write me. My homeowners went from $2500. a year to $6500. a year - that jump was done in one year. So if your shopping auto insurance stay far away from this company (they screwed other friends of mine too).

What do you mean they won't drop you? Did your rates go up or the is that a minium premium?
