Does anyone know anything about Devry Institute?

I left the job market a few years ago to go to school full time an obtain my degree...this past winter I finally did it! Yeah!! Well here's the thing....as I have been going through job listings, I realized that I was drawn to Project Management Positions...problem was if employers weren't looking for experience, they were looking for certifications...i realized that if I am going to want a career in this I am going to have to see about getting one...Luckily Devry has a certificate program BUT when I went to Ripoffreport.Com I saw people complaining about the site....does anyone know it a certificate from Devry is legite?

Agreed. They had a report on those colleges that advertise on Dateline or 60 minutes or something. How most are no longer accredited due to unsavory business practices.

Any instution for higher learning that needs to advertise using commercials raises a red flag from me.

Ackkkkkkkkkkkk....that doesn't help me at all.  I figured that w/ all this time on my hands I would look into taking some online courses and getting another degree while I was here.  Not really like I can go to the college here, well maybe not so much that I can't, but I'd rather do the schooling online.  If anyone has any suggestions about any online courses, throw them my way!  I'm looking for business courses, vet tech courses...hell, just about anything to occupy my time!

There are credible colleges out there that offer online courses...I have taken some through Davenport University...although they are rather expensive. My cousin is taking some online courses through a local community college...I think one of the things to look for is if the school uses Blackboard, as this seems to be the format that most accredited schools use for online courses. Hope this helps!

Well online courses are easy to find from credible colleges I would start by looking into the colleges that are local (the ones where you used to live) so when you get home you won't have to worry about transferring credits
