Garlic breath.  In restaurants, I steer clear from garlic if I'm going to be around someone who isn't eating it also.  I'm ultra sensitive to that smell too so if she picks something with garlic, I do too.  Later when we're together, I don't notice it as bad.  My own marinara sees NO garlic and it's soooo good, no one's the wiser.

...and also related, I hate

Dirty teeth.  On me anyway.  I love the way my teeth feel after my hygienist cleans them.  And she loves me for it.  :)  I try to make 'em stay that way until my next cleaning.  I'm not weird about it (I sort of hide it.  uh.. ok... I might be weird about it) but I brush almost immediately after I eat, well at least 3 times a day.  If no toothbrush, I'm in a bathroom quickly rubbing them with a wet paper towel and swishing. I floss every night, finishing with my favorite alcohol-based mouthwash: Bud Light.

-I hate Atheists who say "Thank God" or "God damn it". Why use God's name at all if you don't believe in him?

I think using someone's god's name as a part of cursing is in bad taste no matter if they are believers or non-believers.

Re: Don't You Just Hate...

Eh... well if they don't believe, then using the name doesn't really mean anything... so I don't know how it would be in bad taste except in believers' eyes... I think that using 'the lords name in vain' is worse for believers than non.... I mean... so Christians can say 'god-d*mn it' and be okay, but athiests can't? That doesn't really make sense... Believers have reason NOT to use it, non-believers don't.

And if we're going to go that far, does that mean that Christians shouldn't talk about Karma or use phrases derived from other religions like 'Holy Cow'... etc etc...

If I don't believe in Santa Claus, does that mean I can't buy wrapping paper with his picture on it or sing songs that have his name in it?

*shrugs* same concept to me... I'm not turning this into an argument of religion... just the argument that it seems a bit silly to get angry at someone for using a name that they don't believe in.... but to each their own...

:)

I hate people who simply refuse to believe someone can be right, just because they're young... Just because you're 40 doesn't automatically make everything you say right, and just because they're 15 doesn't automatically make everything they say wrong... and if you refuse to be wrong just because of their age, then quit breathing my air.

I hate being followed in a store like I'm going to steal something... especially when I'm the only customer in your store to begin with... if I were going to steal something, I'd probably wait till there were more people in it so that I didn't stick out... and since I'm the ONLY person in your store, shouldn't you be a bit more courteous? I mean... you would like for me to purchase something, correct?? Keep following me and I'm leaving... no money for you.

I hate babies in theaters... Actually, I take that back... they're fine, as long as when they start crying, you pick them up and take them out right away... don't wait to see if you can calm them down right next to me... just because you want to see the movie, doesn't mean it's okay to ruin it for the rest of us... there's you and your kid.... and 50 of us... we can take you.

Baby On Board plaques stuck to the rear windshieild of a car.... that's NOT a free pass to drive like a jacka**... if anything it makes me want to run you off the road... it does NOT make me drive more carefully around you... it gives me road rage before I get the chance to see you drive like an idiot... it also lets everyone else KNOW that you're going to drive like an idiot.  If you're driving so terribly you need one of those, then you probably shouldn't be on the road... at least take some backroads, stay off of my freeway.

People that pee with the door open... just... DON'T... that level of comfort doesn't exist for me... I don't care if I've known you for 5 years or 22 years... it's not hard to shut the door.

People that try to talk to me while I'm in the bathroom... especially when I'm brushing my teeth.... Leave me alone, for 2 minutes... seriously... it can wait.

people that talk to eachother in public bathrooms...... again, it can wait lol

people who put so much effort into NOT doing something... like taking out the trash, or putting a trashbag into the trashcan... or whatever household chore... not that big of deal... it won't kill you... I promise.

People who give up after putting no effort into something... or people who do things halfway... why bother?

Being sticky... it freaks me out... seriously... like actual fear creeps through me when I'm sticky... *shudders*

Lost car keys... is it just me, or do they only get lost when you're running late?

Re: Don't You Just Hate...

It's mostly atheists who use the phrase "Thank God" that really gets me.  Also I don't really see "God damn it" so much as a curse word. I see it more as a request as if asking God to damn something. So I feel if you don't believe in God, why would you use this phrase? Why would you ask someone whom you don't have any belief in to damn something else? Many people get offended by this phrase, but it doesn't really seem to me to be all that offensive. It just seems to be something that gets misconstrued as offensive. So what irks me more is the fact that these people just like to throw God's name around just b/c they don't have any regard for it since they don't believe in it.

I'm not an atheist. I'm not agnostic. I choose not to label myself according to religious terms so whatever that would be called. People use those terms because it's a common phrase. You grow up hearing people use those sayings and so you adopt them. I say "Bless you" when people sneeze but it's just to be polite. I'm not really blessing them. My wife is a person of faith so I try to remain sensitive to her beliefs. I try to keep my "GDing" to a minimum.

So there's an explanation from the other side.

I don't want to die without any scars.

good one.  yup.  bugs the heck out of me as well.  suck it up and don't be a crybaby.   we all go thru our ups and downs and we just have to learn to persevere.  NO ONE has a perfect life but we're allowed the opportunity to change the bad into good.  that's the bright light.  you just gotta try instead of whine.
