Re: Finding sites by Email

there are several sites out there that do just that, however, not all that accurate with capturing every registered email account used. here are a few that i know of:

rapleaf.com

yoname.com

upscoop.com
rapleaf sends out notices that you were searched
- - i've read several threads related that you have posted re rapleaf sending an email that you were searched. good to know! this has not yet happened to me, so i am hoping you can or will either provide me an example or share with me what the rapleaf email entails? (eg: does the email to you from rapleaf mention the person who was searching for you's email, name, or ip address?).

ah, i see. well imho, i really do not think it is that bad. unless i am miss interpreting the yoname.com message to you, i do not see where the searcher's name, ip addy, or email was provided to you. am i correct?

btw, i just love your new photograph....i don't know why i thought your eyes were green.

Re: Finding sites by Email

Both yoName and rapleaf send out a one time e-mail. yoName sends it out right awaya and rapleaf takes a few days to do it. It doesn't bother because it does not give away any information to peoplpe I am searching and it's one time. Both are good Net 2.0 sites!

OMG!!! I found myself on rapleaf with my old email address. BUT!! i have changed my myspace account with a different email address. Why did it pull up my myspace page w/ my old email account? How do I get off that list?

Re: Finding sites by Email

If anyone is still interested, I have some results from searching the sites named above.

rapleaf.com -  1) did not send a notification email to any of my email addresses I entered. 2) only showed my OLD deleted myspace account, not the new one that has been up and running for 6 months. They both had the same email address, so I don't know (but am happy about it) why my myspace profile didn't show up. 3) Gave me a "rating" of 4. This is dumb. It's based on the fact that they only found me in a social network site.

yoname.com - 1) sent the same letter that posted above to all my email addresses within seconds. 2) BUT, nothing showed up! They couldn't find me anywhere on the net. Therefore, they suck. 3) when I searched my myspace user names, I didn't show up. My YouTube account showed up and another thing that turned out to not be me. Be weary, your target may show up like this too. 4)When I searched my target's myspace username, his profile (I'm already on his friend's list) showed up as well of several of his friends who mentioned his username (nickname he often goes by) on their pages.

upscoop.com - wanted me to give them my email and password to search my email lists. No way Jose. I don't think so (they do claim to not store passwords in their privacy policy). Also, they are under the unbrella of rapleaf, so I assume you'd get the same info.

All in all, search rapleaf for email addresses and yoname for user names. Yoname can't send out a notification email to your target for searching their username! And be careful, just because their user name shows up for eharmony or match.com, it doesn't mean they are the same person! haha, my username showed up there and it wasn't even me, lol.

Re: Finding sites by Email

keep an eye out for the rapleaf notification. you are correct that yoname sends a notice right away, whereas rapleaf can take anywhere from a few days to a few weeks. if it does hit your in box in a few days, kindly give us an update here.
