Flying ✈This Holiday Season? "Good luck -- you're pretty much on your own!" That's what the experts are saying. How comforting is that?! When husband of mine was in college, we would fly to Seattle for the holidays....free. How? We would purposely book our flights last minute. Then of course they would be so full/over booked that we would always raise our hands for the "bump tickets" to fly anywhere free over the next year, plus get the next flight out, which was usually the red eye first class. Now, seats are rarely overbooked. Times have changed. Less help. Fewer flights. And the prices are 4x's the amount this year than they were last year at this time. That is staggering.

We are flying out this evening with three kids, one being a first time lap baby. Luckily the flight is less than two hours and our other two are exeperienced flyers but no looking forward to the hoopla of the airport and traffic to get there...
