Getting my wife's iMessages

I am struggling big time trying to figure out how to view my wife's I-Messages. I actually took her phone and hooked it to our computer and looked at messages that were "backed up" (Because she does not use I-Tunes or anything, so she hasn't done anything with it since she bought it in April) , but it was real vague. Sometimes the phone numbers didn't even show up and only odds and ends messages were visible. She is not tech savvy at all, but I am sure, who I think, she is cheating with is instructing her how to use I-Message to communicate because it only shows up on our phone records as data usage. I tried logging into my Ipad with her Apple ID but it only allows me to view I-Messages sent to her email...unfortunately the messages is going via phone. I don't have the money to hire a PI, so I have to do the leg work myself. I need to catch her, as I don't want to live like this anymore. I highly highly suspect, as she has cheated in the past several times.....but I honestly don't know: for sure as she has never admitted it. I have her log in information for her Apple ID, Emails etc...

I am going to grab her phone today and set up the Find my Iphone option, Icloud Option and send I messages to her email, although I am not sure if I messages sent to her phone number will go to her email as a copy - I suspect not. I have my Ipad set up with her information, but it isn't doing me any good. Could someone please instruct me how to best utilize my technology to assist in catching her?

Again I have her Apple ID, Email info etc.... so I can delete any initial Notifications to her email.

HELP!!!!!!!

Re: Getting my wife's iMessages

If the iPhone is properly associated with the iCloud account, you would get all iMessages on any other device (ie; iPad) using that iCloud account regardless of whether the iMessage was sent via phone number or iCloud account ID. See this page for more info: link iphone to icloud.

Also bear in mind that the notifications do not go to email.. They go straight to the phone and pop up on the screen.

Re: Getting my wife's iMessages

Argh sorry to hear that about your wife.. The best tool for that what you want to do is "Dr. Fone" from Wondershare.

With this you can recover even deleted Messages (if they haven't been overwritten yet). I'd recommend NOT to sync or backup with iTunes before using Dr. Fone, because that usually overwrites a lot of deleted messages. Anyway, download and start the Dr. Fone app (BTW you need as much free GB space on your Mac's harddrive as the iPhone of your wife has space – if you don't have enough disk space, buy an external drive and install the Dr. Fone app there, that works fine). Plug in your wife's iPhone and after scanning you will be able to read her deleted messages (they are in orange, there is the option to only show deleted messages threads). It will take quite some time to scan through the iPhone, by the way (up to 20 minutes). The older iPhones (I think up to 4S) require some special tricks, which are explained in the Dr. Fone app.

With the demo version, you are able to view and read all messages (and deleted messages), but if you want to save them on your computer, you have to purchase the app at 100$.

For me, the app worked very well. Anyway, hope this helps and best wishes…

How did you install on external hard drive?

Re: Getting my wife's iMessages
I am dealing with something similar. My wife and I share an iCloud account, but I only use it for iTunes and the iPad, whereas she also uses it on her phone. Last night I saw a single message sent from her to an unknown number that really caught me off guard. I'm really hoping there is a very simple means for me to track the messages she sends to/from other iDevices. Something that auto-forwards all text/picture messages to an external email account?

Re: Getting my wife's iMessages
If I recall, Dr Phone works by getting data from backups, right? If this is the case, then anything deleted between backups cannot be restored.

Re: Getting my wife's iMessages
It's weired because some are really there and others not (bare that I am talking about deleted messages)

Re: Getting my wife's iMessages
