Re: Someone trying to hack my Facebook - help!

What can happen from friending someone you don't know, hacking wise? If you don't post your address or phone number, personal information like that, what can they do to your profile? How do they get into it? I am guilty of friending friends of friends or people with the same interests as myself that I don't really know and I am just curious and would like to know how that can be bad (other than the personal information issue). Coincidently for the last week or so I have been seeing profiles pop up on my suggestions (which people have speculated that the suggestions are actually people who looked at your profile) that have no picture, no friends, a visible wall and info with no posts or information. One of my friends actually just friended one of them, I can't understand why, I guess some people just friend anyone. Also I have been getting friend requests from people with nothing in common, their wall and info are visible and they have one picture of themselves and thats it, and their wall always shows tons of friends accepting and thats it. Very strange. Are these hackers? does anyone else get them, and what can they do to me if one of my friends or myself accepts them??

Thanks!

Re: Someone trying to hack my Facebook - help!
Yesterday I was trying to access my facebook, and it would not let me on, almost as if someone got on and changed my password, or kept trying to login to my account. I dont have my email address posted on there anywhere so anyone can see it, so im at a loss. My mom has my psw, but she uses my account for farming on farmville. She called me last night telling me that she received a pop up stating someone from salt lake city utah was trying to get on my page...This all does not makes any sense, is there a way so no one can access your account, i have it set to all privacy.

Yes - delete your Facebook account...
But, since that would make it difficult to use Facebook, it's probably not a good choice.. Other than deleting your Facebook, there is no way to make it 'bulletproof' .. The best thing to do is make sure you have a good, secure password.

Re: Someone trying to hack my Facebook - help!
Iv got an x girlfriend who keeps trying to hack my account.. Everyday I get an email of Facebook saying I have requested a password change which I haven't! The latest one was at 02:30 this morning. Does anyone know if I can stop her doing this or prove it definately is her? Thanks

Only way I know of to stop her is to tell her to stop, and there is no way for you to prove it was her.
If I was you I would make sure you have a new, long/hard to guess password and make sure that all your secret questions are something she can't answer. Also make sure you have all of your password recovery options set.

Today at 12 something in the morning, somebody from TH ( I think it is Thailand), tried to log on to my Facebook account. I remember I don have any friends at TH. So I change my password. Now it works. Because yesterday and today I had been trying to log on, but I failed. So I suspected someone is hacking my account. Good thing it isn't a big deal.

Having to enter your password multiple times is not an indication that your Facebook has been hacked. My guess is that you're typing it in wrong 4 out of 5 times. I say that because based on your post you seem to have trouble typing words.
