Help with uploading HTML and href's not working

Hi all,

I have recently made a small website, consisting of a couple of pages,

I have then used GlobalSCAPE - cuteFTP to upload the html to a public server, which all went smoothly,

but now when i view the page it is just text and there is no background image and the links to the other pages dont work? ( did all work previously )

I have tried uploading all the other pages / files as well and no luck,

any help would be greatly appreciated,

Thankyou XD

Hi Shadow, if you send me a link to the page in question, I can help you out with the coding.

Ok, so you have lots going on that needs to be fixed. You dont have pages uploaded for your Contact, Services, or Location.

Your link to About us fails b/c it links to /../../About%20us.html/public_html

You need to link directly to About%20us.html  (which might mean you need to relocated your about us page, since it looks like you have it placed in the home directory.)

You also need to create a page named index.html so that when people click the link you provided me, they see the Front Page, not the index listing.

You should rename your files to make them more html friendly. Ex: Front Page.html should be front_page.html (but in reality, that page should be named index.html, to make it the first page that loads when you open that link)

As far your background, I see a solid black background. The reason your house picture isnt loading is b/c the file is named House.jpg, not house.jpg

all of your files, photos, etc should be named with all lower-case letters, and no spaces. If you need to have a space, use an underscore instead.

That should get you pointed in the right direction, if you need more help, just ask.
