I found a fantastic deal on Homespun while I was out today.  Couldn't find a grey at all, but if beige with pink trim will do, I'll have one made by the end of the night.  You put this damned bug in my head, and now I can't get it out!  I'll write out the pattern as I go, based on my head size.  If you like it and it fits, it's yours, if you don't like the colors, I'll send you the pattern to make it yourself, and put the beige one up on etsy.  I even bought a crochet hook since mine are all buried in the basement.

I'll add trim sometime tomorrow, and shape the ears better, but is this what you're looking for so far?

Sorry, long weekend...

That's cute!

That's pretty much exactly what I'm looking for, except I think I want to go a little bigger... or wider I guess would be the more accurate term... I want the ears to kind of just sit a little more to the sides of the head rather than the top, I guess in a looser fashion...

Do you have shaper thingies in the ears? Or is the homespun holding up to the kitty ear task at hand? They look really cute

I think I should have made it a few stitches wider,  It's a little small and makes the ears sit funny.  They look far more normal when my friend's 10 year old wears it.  That's just the homespun with a Size K hook in half double stitch, nothing else to hold the shape.  I've since added trim, decorated the ears, and made earflaps, but I can't get the pics off my phone at this godsforsaken place.  (Stuck on satellite internet and a strange operating system for the remainder of the week)  I'll upload the photograph as soon as I can, but if you want to get started, try about 28 stitches across in hdbl.
