How to get dandruff out of your dog’s hair

Our dog always gets real bad dry skin and dandruff after a bath. No matter what kind of shampoo we use, even if we dont use shampoo, it just dries out his skin and for the next week he’s covered in flaky dry skin and dandruff. We try to comb it out, but it still just sticks in his hair but we just discovered (by accident) a trick that gets all the dandruff out!
Instead of just combing out the dandruff with a dry comb, soak the comb in water and keep it wet while combing the dandruff out. When using a dry comb it just makes static that makes the dandruff stick to the hair but when the comb is wet, all the dandruff sticks to the comb and it comes right out of the hair!
Our dog is a pit bull and has short hair but my guess is that it works the same with long haired dogs using a brush.
This wont stop the dandruff or prevent it, but it gets the dandruff out of the dogs hair great!

Sounds so simple but makes perfect sense! I never thought about the static making the dandruff stick in the hair. Will try this next time our dog has dandruff!

havn't tried but will probably work. Might even help to add a little leave-in conditioner to the water.
