Hubby - Do I need to change my comp. settings?

Okay, I can only use this Tongue out so many times!  When I go to the use the smilies only the first 4 show up, the left side of the smilies and my link window is only about 25% there as well.  Is this something that I need to change on my part?

 Uhh.. i'm not sure..

For the fun of it try clearing your cache and see if that helps.. Also make sure that you dont have any kind of pop-up blockers enabled.

Yup, we've dealt with this issue before.

It's usually a problem with your java script and there are few issues that may be causing that.

First and foremost check the site with a different browser and see if the issue comes up. Here are a few methods to work with.

  1. Update your Java Runtime Environment.
  2. Change your theme back to default in Firefox.
  3. Turn off your extensions for firefox, specifically the ones that deal with javascript or adblocking.
  4. This is a more common then you may think, a virus or worm has compromised your JRE. Scan your computer

Ashton -

I tried it in I.E. and it seems to be working for the smilies & linking.  I'm now going to try and do all the other things that you suggested Ashton!

Thanks Hubby & Ashton for giving me some fixes for this.

Elle -

Let me know what you come up with if you've tried any of the fixes that Hubby & Ashton suggested.

Hey Geek and Hubby - same here.

I'm not a squeaky wheel, so I've never brought it up... but it's been like that for months for me too. I believe I tidy things up regularly too and no unusual popup blockers. I'd have to have a look for the last time I used any smiley to see when it started, but let us know what fixes it, ok, Geek?

Re: Hubby - Do I need to change my comp. settings?

Okay, so here's what I did, I just did away with my MyspaceMozilla add on.  I wasn't really using it anyway, so no big deal.  It seems to me that it brings up the smilies & link windows so much faster, plus everything is there.  Another way that I tried to fix the problem was resizing those particular windows which worked, but it had to be done every time.  During the reconstruction of my myspace profile I downloaded a few add ons to help me w/ the div overlay layout which include the Web Developer and that's how I can resize the windows.

Another thing that I noticed is that on the Web Developer toolbar there are 3 icons on the right side and it tells me that there are errors on the page and when I pull that up it did mention that there was a Javascript error but it was associated w/ the MyspaceMozilla...so easy fix!

So thanks again Ashton for giving me things that I should be looking for when trying to fix this.  Didn't mean to be a squeaky wheel on this one, but if no one says anything about it, then how will it get fixed?  Wink...and they work now!

Yeah, actually that one rings a bell as far as being a problem, should have thought of that.

Glad it worked out for you.

Laughing I just ditched myspace mozilla and lookie! A smiley from the far right! Now if I could only get BuddyWave working, I'll have it made!
