IP Tracker for website

I have three MS sites.  One is personal and has no ties (outside of the IP) to the other two.  I use two trackers on them all, as one will invariably pick up something the other one has not.  As I routinely checked them this morning I discovered that within a 45 minute period of time, an IP address unknown to me appeared ON ALL 3 OF THEM!  The only thing I can think of is of course, I hit someone's site who has a very effective tracker.  I use a handy dandy "non-friend" code on my personal site.  (And thank you SO much for that!) However, if someones smart enough to tie all three sites together, they're probably smart enough to use no style.  Fortunately all my profile pics and info that show give away nothing personal or have anything in common at all.  But I just hate that "did I just get busted?" feeling!

If anyone has anything insightful to add as to what tracker they might have used or how they might have tied all three together I would love to have your input.

My greatest hope is that its a fellow GUG'er with an IP in Bellevue , WA.  *smirks*

Wait a minute here.  How in the world would you get all that info?!

Especially the e-mail address?!?

would you mind reposting that nonfriends code here so I don't have to go searching for it?  Thanks!

Oh yes, I forgot to mention that part of the equation...I do use Ad Block Plus and keep it updated.

SHEESH!  Dump cookies and caches...why is it we always forget to do the basic stuff!  *slaps forehead* Tongue out

another thing too is that some ip addresses are shared by several people.. so it is possible that it wasnt the same person that went to all three profiles.

and could it be possible that you were online at the time they looked at all the profiles? cause if you were and you have the online now thingy to come up, they may have just browsed profiles and hit them all that way??

i did have a tracker (that no longer works) that would tell me exactly who came to my profile, and it would list all profiles with the same ip address.. but if they have one that works like that now, i would love to get my hands on it!

I wasn't online, but you're other point is well taken about IP's being shared, because just the opposite will be true.  They won't know if it's all the same person they looked at, or 2 or 3 people logging in on the same computer.  I don't really have anything to worry about, it just gave me the creeps when I saw it!

Microsoft HQ is located pretty darn close to Bellevue, WA. If not in Bellevue.

Could it be that it was a spider running through myspace profiles for their search engine? If you created the accounts within a certain period of each other, the spider may have been set to run through a specific block of numbers (myspace user IDs are sequential) at that time and happened to hit all three of yours within those 45 minutes.

Or, you say you have two trackers on each profile. Are any of the tracker site hosts located in Bellevue? Perhaps they were collecting data on their tracker users. Especially if you give them the myspace ID. Since the trackers appear to be the only thing that links the three aside from all being created by your IP addy.

There are quite a few explanations but I certainly wouldn't assume right away it was some lurker who has you figured out.

VERY good points and well taken about quite a few explanations.  You brought up points I never would've considered.  But that's what I'm here for...learning very day and loving it!  Thank you....

Just a little FYI-I also use profiletracker.us, but unlike , I am a relatively new subscriber. I registered for it a little over a month ago, but I also am able to see other friend ID's that have logged in from the same IP address. I however, do not get the "referred by" portion (can't ask for everything... :( )
