Re: Motor oil for fleas and ticks?

Actually it works better then the flea treatments and chemicals are in all these products of course motor oil does contain benzene which is a carcinogenic but its also in pop and you consume that...its fine as long as you monitor your dog making sure he doesn't lick himself and I'm sure he wont lick because of the smell then wash and bath after a few minute dip...also helps with mange. I have only seen this performed on dogs and not actually have done it myself but it does work.

Seven Dust for Fleas

Seven dust is $8 and it works pretty good but not for long you have to treat your yard and your dog but only during the seasons when the fleas and ticks are really bad, their seasonal so a few treatments will do the trick but if you have birds don't use the seven dust.

My mom has used a little diesel mixed with water and soap to was her dogs for years. No ticks no fleas. The dogs have greats coats. No irritation from the washing either.

Well i'l be. Always wondered why that old wolf hound would always flop and roll around on the floor of the shop after changing the oil in a car or truck. Everyone called him oil rag. Guess I know the rest of the story now. Just figured he like to do his part and clean up. LMAo

Yes motor oil actually works. Not only it rid ticks and fleas but it brings out the a dog coat. My brother use it on his dogs all the time and I never seen such a beautiful coat afterwards biscuit white coat was so white and shiny beautiful I thought he took her to get groomed. It wasn't just her even Nala had beautiful fur and the best part was it killed fleas and ticks we use it on puppies after they hit a certain age. We don't use it on babies because baby pups tends to lick themselves a little to much so we wait til they a little bit older to know better. I grew up with over 25 dogs it's an home remedy it's cheap however it has to be used motor oil we don't use new oil on them. As an adult now I have a dog that has fleas really bad but they are baby fleas it looks like my dog is a walking hive not only I gave me a flea and tea bath which is lowly effective but I resulted back to used motor oil since I didn't have enough funds to get medicine for him. Ask a guy for used motor oil it's. Nice trick and completely worth it. No need to wash it out the motor oil washes itself out

Old oil for fleas on dogs

It works just rub used engine oil (after a filter change) all over the dogs fur lightly not too much just enough to cover the dogs fur. it seems cruel but people here in mexico do it all the time I do not know why really but its been done since way back in the day and surprisingly it does work. Just leave it on for a about two days then give the dog a real good bath, the dogs fur seems to take more life for some reason. I've never seen a dog die because of it or heard of a dog dying. Its very common here. Vets dont recommend it but i swear I've seen this done so many times for flea infestations.
