My TMOBILE contract

i have this tmobile phone and i am ok with their plans and service but i dont get good reception in areas where i reside. i want to switch to verizon -i like their phones better 2 -but have that whole early contract termination fee to deal with. i have the phone listed on trademycellular but i wanted to see if someone here may be interested in taking over the remander of my contract. i have about 18 more months left. your. message me if you would like more info.

and while i am here --anyone know of another way out?

Re: My TMOBILE contract

no. i had tmobile a while ago,  had the same problem in the same places. i have signal bars but no network. so i went with ATT, then switched back after 3 years or so....thinking plans were cheaper and the service would be better. more towers, better technology etc. not so. now verizon has these cool phones and i have family members that have verizon so i was hoping to get out of the contract. i did try the text messaging thing. tmobile did raise the  rates but there is a dealine and since i didnt get the paper bill i didnt get all the info. they denied me. =(

and its not just at "home" that i dont get signal but its the same places locally that never have network. ie target. i have no network. cant call or get calls. or texts. so does that magic percent have to be determined based on my living room calls? i guess i can call and try it.

thanks for your help guys! i will keep u posted.

Re: My TMOBILE contract

have you spoken to a tmobile dealer/rep about a better phone or ask what they can do to provide less dropped calls? i never heard for trading a phone. that's an interesting concept: http://www.trademycellular.com/

Search through the articles here:

http://consumerist.com

They have tons of articles on avoiding ETF. Some articles are people's stories on how they got out early.

Some basics are if they change the contract and you don't agree with it. Say if they raise the cost of text messages and you don't want to pay the increased cost you can use that to get out of it but not without s fight from them. Of course whatever changes in the contract has to actually affect you or else it doesn't count. For instance if they raise the cost of internet usage but you don't use the internet through you mobile carrier then you have claim.

Good luck.

If you really aren't getting service you can have them track your calls. If they determine that you truly aren't getting your calls ie: you usage goes down during the times you should be home, they can let you out. There's some magic % that it must reach tho.

i maybe able to assist u in this. i made a big mistake and left t-mobile on aug 4 for sprint, i was with sprint for a week had sorry phone service, then i switched to verizon. i been with verizon for 2 months i don't really like verizon because i been with t-mobile every since i was 17 and i'm 20 now, fixin to be 21 in four months. verizon is just way to expensive for me, but i have a family plan with my boyfriend and we're kinda pissed becuz we he also left tmobile so we can get a family plan together. we're waitin for the g1 phone to drop but i can try talkin to him if you're interested in us switchin contracts. i have the lg dare, and he has the lg voyager, but also we have another lg dare too.
