Re: MySpace Apps Tracker

I tried to add this app. and it said I didn't have permission at this time. Why??

Re: MySpace Apps Tracker

The application has been suspended by myspace pending changes to it. Check back in a couple days and see if its been re-approved.

wonder what type of changes the new counter will have.....Track only other people who have the counter installed? Pop-up message to visitors about the counter? Sucks MS decided to ban it. I was enjoying it!

Re: MySpace Apps Tracker

This application has worked like GOLD for me. But now that I have the info I needed, I blocked it.

Re: MySpace Apps Tracker

just a heads up..i'm sure most people reading this thread know already...

on your home page where it says "manage apps" you can go in and set privacy settings.

it looks something like this:

Privacy:

Share data (name, photo, friends, age, gender, location).

OR

Don't share any data.

their little blurb explaining....

Why do my friends' applications need my data?

Applications that your friends add may need to know some information about you in order to work.

Example: If your friends added a "best friends" application, they would want to be able to see your name and photo in a list of all their friends so that they can pick you as a best friend.

Sooo..if you don't want any random apps written by random people, and being "regulated" by myspace (i use the term loosely) accessing any of your profile data, i'd click the do not share data bubble!

on another note, maybe someone who is a geek around here (NOT ME, for sure), might be able to look into the coding of these apps (?), so that we can come up with some new codes...

getting a little worried about my video tracker this morning...it was my baby...Cry

Re: MySpace Apps Tracker

You have to share data in order to use the application, so thats a double edged sword, but thanks for sharing this info with us :)

Re: MySpace Apps Tracker

yes, i made the choice to avoid their apps and block all of them anyhow. looks like they still haven't worked all the kinks out anyways (i.e. the tracker app being down). i would rather use the fabulous GUG codes, so i know what's going in my profile, not something i can't copy and paste/modify or even see in my edit profile area!

Re: MySpace Apps Tracker

Ooh, scary. I heard about this app and was wondering why Myspace would have it on there. But from what I've been reading, you have to be logged on to track? So it doesn't track IP addresses?

Re: MySpace Apps Tracker

You do have to be logged in, and no it doesnt track IPs. its also currently not working pending changes.
