we gave up our landline long ago. it was a ridiculas and needless expense. even the faxing can be done online. i just couldnt justify 40-50 bucks a month when for 20 more i could get unlimited everything on the cells.

I use my cellphone for most of my calls, but I still maintain the cheapest landline I can, for emergencies.  I was able to get the bare bones landline package for under $10 a month, I can only make local calls, no call waiting, no features at all.  Comes in handy when we lose power for hours upon hours, occasionally for an entire day.  Cell phones are fantastic, until you can't charge them, but a landline will almost always work during a storm.

"For we are always what our situations hand us, it’s either sadness or euphoria"

Good point. During the last ice storm here I would see people with their cell phones and chargers in hand begging stores to let them charge them. My first gen iPhone would charge in my car so I had no problems. Now I have to take it to work and charge it there if it happens again since my 3G won't charge in the car. Plus really cell phones are semi-reliable at best. A land line is much harder to disrupt. That being said, I voted cell only cause that's all I have and probably ever will have. Unless something really cool is invented in the future.

I don't want to die without any scars.

i like to have both but to cut costs while im in school i went to just cell for now
