[quote]"text"[/quote] Works [b][u]"text"[/u][/b] doesn't... Is list of supported BBCodes???
Hi I posted a facebook related question. During which I noticed that the BBCode I'd embedded for bold & underlined text didn't work... Yet I was able to use BBCode to flag text as a quote... Thus I'd like to know what BBCodes GrownUpGeeks allows, errr, don't tell me they actually want me to use html for forum messages?? I suppose that could be it. At least it seems to recognize html for line breaks... In that case, is there a list of what (if any) html is frowned on here? And OH yeah: What is that button labeled "Split sumary at cursor" for??

As per GuG's input format page:

Allowed HTML tags: <a> <b> <em> <i> <strong> <BGSOUND> <color> <font> <font-size> <center> <span> <cite> <div> <h2> <h3> <h4> <h5> <h6> <map> <area> <hr> <code> <ul> <ol> <li> <dl> <dt> <dd> <img> <br> <br /> <style> <table> <tr> <td> <u> <del> <ins> <small> <blockquote> <pre> <strike> <caption> <p> <object> <param>

And GuG is not BBCode based, which is why your typical BBCode tags don't work, the quote one is just special :)

And I notice that it recognizes the: [quote="source"]text[/quote] form... But is "source" limited to user ID's or can I use [quote="URL"]text[/quote] or [quote="arbitrary string"]text[/quote] Such as: [quote="grampy when offering candy to small child"] Have a LOT!...In fact, you can even have two![/quote] Evidently so! Though I note: My grampy "SPOKE" that line to many small children. He liked to see the look on their faces... But NEVER did he "Wrote" it... And I'm dang sure going to miss the [code]text[/code] BBCode tag...

That's for splitting the sumary...at the cursor. :)

Splitting the summary changes how posts are displayed in "teaser" view.. It's not really used/doesn't really matter so it should probably be disabled..
