Hahaha, comiserations, mine used to put her front paws and her head across my neck and slept there but thankfully never licked my eyelids.

I dunno what that can be, maybe as someone said previously the tears. Maybe you should apply some moistorizer on your eyelids or around the eyes, maybe the smell will keep him away. Nothing toxic of course, you don't want to kill him but maybe something that doesn't smell too good until he stops that habit. They eventually lose some bad habits once they grow up.

OK, I'm at my wit's end here.  I bought a kitten bottle, he's not interested, my salty flesh tastes WAY better than kitten milk.  A sleep mask won't cut it, it's not just my eyes, they're just his primary target, he'll take whatever's exposed.  Here's a photograph of his damage, you can see all the little red welts and hives on my neck, behind my ear, and on my jaw.

That's AFTER swabbing my face with Tea Tree Oil before bed.  If I don't, he's even worse.

Anyone with a PhD in kitten behavior?

How's this going? Any luck?

Actually, yes :) I think he's mostly outgrown it.  He never bothers my face and neck anymore, and only occasionally tries to do it in the crook of my elbow when he falls asleep in my lap.  I think it's kinda like the 12 year old who still occasionally sucks his thumb, but at least it's not constant like it was.  Now, if we can get the tiny one to stop waking us up by biting our toes......

I've got a 10 week old "eye licker" too. So far I havent been able to make him stop but I HAVE been about to control when he does it. He is only allowed to lick my eyelids and lashes at "cuddle time" so I can control when he gets ready to give me a "love nip" which hurts like hell when you dont see it coming. This arrangement has so far worked out so no more surprise attacks in the middle of the night. I suspect your baby may be attraaccted to either your eyelashes fluttering or your face lotion. THe deep eye stare and blinking is a sign of deep and total devotion to you so when he does it to YOU he thinks you are doing back to him!
