If by "gained" you mean, they have learned what your IP address is, there isn't much they can do. Assuming that your computer is not already open to easily being hacked, there is not much risk. That means that if you have a router, you have all Windows updates and patches installed and patches and updates for all your other software installed you are probably safe.
Your bigger risk is clicking links. This time you got lucky.
If they are truly using your IP address then they have probably taken over your computer and are using it remotely, as there is no real practical way for someone to "steal" your IP address.
I would recommend a total reformat of your computer, and until you do that, I would not turn it on or unplug it from the internet. After that is done you should change every password on every account with good, strong passwords, make sure you are using a good, Antivirus, and learn (and practice) "safe computing" practices so the whole thing does not happen again.
