TOS OWNERSHIP issue

So I have a pretty big concern, and this really goes hand in hand with whats going on with Facebook right now. Reading the Terms Of Service, I notice that nothing I post here is mine anymore. To quote,
"All posts, comments, or replies made on our website become the property of GrownUpGeek.com."

Well, now I'm upset. I've posted poetry, pictures, and a lot of original content here. Now I don't own these things any more. I fully plan on publishing a collection of poetry one day, but seeing as I don't own some of my poems any more..... This is very concerning. I spent a lot of time on my work, and to see this disturbs me greatly. By sharing my ideas with my "family" here, I loose the rights. This is not right.

Now, I can't force you all to do anything. But I request, if my understanding has been correct, that either the TOS is changed to cut out this ownership issue, or that my pictures and poetry be removed.

Re: TOS OWNERSHIP issue

Those are the terms you agreed to when you signed up, but I understand your concern - our content ownership policy is not intended to allow us to sell it or to prevent you from writing a book with your original content, etc.. So to further that, we've updated the policy slightly. You can see it here

I think you're good to publish that book!

I thank you for the better detail in the TOS and the ease of mind.
