trackspace isn't identifying people

My trackspace isn't showing me the profiles that have peeked at my profile. It's just showing where they are from. I don't have firefox as the recommend is that why? I don't know if it will make a difference or not but I am not sure I can use it because it's my work pc...any suggestions...
Thanks from a newbie...

Re: trackspace isn't identifying people

The reason why you can't see the profiles of the people who visit your myspace page is because they haven't been identified yet.  I use a couple of trackers and once I'm able to put a profile to an IP or visit, I input it in on Trackspace.

FYI....did you read the "How's it work" and "FAQ" sections of Trackspace?  I recommend always reading these IMPORTANT parts of the tracker that you just signed up with!!!

Hope this helps!Smile

Thanks for the info...
Actually I did read the FAQ's and realize that might be the issue. I thought it would show one or 2 of the profiles but all of them were unidentified so thought I'd ask here. I don't have any other trackers and wouldn't know where or how to put a profile to an IP or visit!
Sorry for being a newbie at this stuff...
Thanks for your help though I appreciate it...

Re: trackspace isn't identifying people

I guess I'm just lost...LOL.
Under profile it has a big blue circle with a ? in it and under it says USER UNKNOWN and then under it says 'identify' like you said but when I click that it asks for the friend id.
The problem is that since it's not recognizing the user there's no friend id for me to enter...
am i making sense?

That will work.

There has been 1 that has been identified and go figure I have no idea who it is!! LOL
Thanks for the help!!

Small Question -

If I identify an IP number with who I think it is and I'm wrong will it track the person I identified the IP number as?

Does that make sense?

ip numbers can be identified incorrectly and you can use this method to cover up your own ip address so that if you are tracked it wont show your picture.

I suggest using a "dummy" myspace account (a 2nd myspace account that you create yourself) to replace your own actual identification so that a complete stranger isn't being mistaken as you..just more fair in my opinion. I hope this answers your question? :)

Pat is absolutely correct, but remember it will only identify that person on Trackspace not on any other tracker out there that uses the same method.  I actually have a very strong sneaky suspicion that there are quite a few incorrect myspace friend id's that have been identified on Trackspace.  I'm sure others will agree.

Re: trackspace isn't identifying people

It makes sense to me sort of. What if I just take an unknown visitor on Trackspace and identify the IP # as Bob's myspace #? Will it track everytime Bob goes to my myspace page even if the unknown IP viewer wasn't Bob?

Basically, I can't figure out if a certain person is checking out my page and I want to find a way to find out.

Yeppers.....

If you really want to see who's viewing your myspace page, I suggest going to profiletracker.us and using that tracker.  It does show the profiles, but you do have to pay for the tracker.  In my own personal opinion it's worth it.

Do you use that one? If so, does it really work?

Also, can I have 2 different trackers on my page?
