"Trojan Killer" program concers.

I have this program installed on my computer for about 5 months now. Would it interfere with my anti-virus protection? Does it scan my computer automatically? I usually scan it with the"Trojan Killer"manually. Is this worth having? Thanks for your feedback.

Trojan Killer

Based on the description on the Trojan Killer page, it looks like it's an "on demand" scanner - meaning that it only does anything when you click the "scan" button. You *might* run into problems while scanning, if your antivirus is active (but probably not). What you do NOT want is two "active" systems running at the same time (i.e., two different types of 'active scanning' antivirus programs).

As for whether or not it's worth it? Sadly, for the average Windows user, it probably is.. The more protection, the better - so in addition to antivirus and anti-trojan software, dont forget anti-rootkit software and a good old fashioned anti-spyware program..

I personally got fed-up with having to worry about that silliness a long time ago and switched to a Mac.. now i just use my computer, instead of 'fuss' with it..

Of course, NOTHING is better than prevention - always practice safe-computing (even on a Mac!) - Dont open attachments that you arent expecting, dont run software from untrusted sources, always apply your security updates, etc..

I use AVG and SuperAntispyware and nothing else I do a system check with certain websites which I compiled and made this site ! I feel pretty safe doesn't mean I am but I haven't had any problems with my Vista Machine or My XP machine since using this system.

I have had my little problems when I had XP home but I learned a few steps watch your memory on a PC always if it all of a sudden is all used up something is probably wrong !

also I like refering to this process which I have ran now on 6 different machines http://www.blackviper.com/WinXP/supertweaks.htm

Blackviper now also has info on vista but never have had time to scan through it !

Note : DON"T download a program just because its in a add somewhere I have experianced my problems with that type of stuff usually fixed fairly fats but it not fun ! I have tons of download crap just to test it and run it just to see if it will mess things up sometimes and to see if the program is worth using I'm kinda daring.
