Mr Paul Dwayne ...
Re: View someone's Facebook if you are blocked
i would like to find a way to do this. my daughter has been running with a very bad croud and has blocked us (her parents) from facebook. i know she's doing some really bad things and we're doing everything possible to stop it. we take her privalliges away like grounding taking pc phone ect. but a cousin comes over and boom they have a phone. there truly is no way to stop them. got a call at 3 am this morning from the police (imagine that) this facebook is a real problem with teens. they're bringing thugs from all over our area to the house and most are lying about thier age. i want to be able to get on her page and see who she is talking to and check them out and report them if thay are like most of the ones she has met; lying thugs with very bad intentions. had one set from facebook bust my bay window out just 3 weeks ago and they have a name like (D) wth? how do i fill out a police report? the officer just says well..... there has to be something i can do. oh yeah btw had two guys show me thier guns when i asked them for id and then to leave. they were clearly in thier mid twenties saying they were 16 my kid is 14

Once you're blocked, you're blocked. The only way around it is to ask the person to unblock you.
You could make a fake account and try to get added to her Facebook. Some kids will add anyone, others are smart, and only add people they actually know.

As for this Facebook being a real problem for these kids - i must say that Facebook is not the problem. There were problem kids long before Facebook, and something tells me that this kid would still have problems if Facebook was never invented.. Just my $.02 ..

So, how I was able to view my 16 year old step daughter's facebook.... create a fake account of a teenager. Pick out a name. Then I searched "teenage boy hairstyles" and found a picture that would look like a "normal" picture (not a pose) and set it as my profile photograph - can always be a "girl" instead. I added a few various pictures of like a baseball field, ect. Something that could be a picture I put up, even if my "character" wasn't in the photo. Then I added a few other miscellaneous things for info, made sure my email, ect, was TOTALLY private. I even subscribed to a horoscope app on facebook that posted everyday, so it looked like this profile was actually being used.

Then after I set it all up, I viewed it from my actual acct, just so I could make sure none of my "give away" info was visable, such as email address. Which you might have to set up a different email to link this acct to. Not a big deal.

Finally after the account is all ready to go, and everything looks legit, start adding your daughters friends FIRST. Sadly, none of these teenagers worry about actually KNOWING the person they're adding. After you round up a few of your daughters friends, add your daughter. She will see she has a bunch of "mutual" friends with this character you've created. Then, she will accept your friend request.

Let me know how it goes. The hardest part is keeping your mouth shut when you see something on there you don't like. Good luck!

You sound like a freakin pedophile. I sincerely hope that you really are the parent of this child... though not really because you've got to be the worst freakin parent ever if you've got to go through all of that just to view your child's profile. You're the parent, act like it. If you want to view her profile then you can. If she blocks you then you should make her unblock you or have her delete her Facebook. And you shouldn't want to "keep your mouth shut" if she's making inappropriate posts to the internet. She could be potentially damaging her future. You shouldn't allow your kid to be careless on this internet because ANYONE can see that.

What the fudge... parents are so ridiculously clueless these days.

I'm not actually writing "fudge"... this website is just literally that outdated that it has to censor what I write.
What kind of freaks are you people?

Re: View someone's Facebook if you are blocked

actually, her dad and I aren't together anymore. He doesn't "keep track of her", so I let him know if I saw anything inappropriate so that he could handle it. Obviously, since we aren't together anymore, I'm not going to be stepping in and making her delete her account. I don't even watch it much anymore because he's so lazy of a parent that she's now locked up in a juvenile detention center.

And no, I'm not a "fudgeing pedophile." Thanks.

All I was trying to do was "monitor" her account to look for clues for the next damn time she ran off. So no, not her parent. But since her parents are pathetic, I was only trying to keep an eye on her though any means I had.

If they are underage you can contact facebook directly and they will remove the profile. You can also contact local police to notify facebook and they will remove it. Or, if they are underage.. be the parent and take over the account yourself. Cut the wi-fi to the house. Easy.. Turn the router off and take it bed each night LOL All kinds of things you can do.

Create a false page with a "cool" name & send your kids a friend request. It may take some time but if you set up a few of these & 'friend', each other, plus adding some 'cool' 'likes' u can set up a believeable profile trail that could interest your kid enough to accept your friend request from the false page. Worth a try maybe?

Quit being a doormat!
Wow. No offense, but don't let the cousin over if they're NOT going to abide by your rules (NO CELL PHONE IF THEY CANT RESPECT YOU!) You are the parent! Put your foot down, ground that kid! Walk them to and from the door to school! Let them have NO privacy! Quit being a doormat! You're going to love that child to death! I'm going to pray for your family! This scares me that your child rules your house & you.
